astral tunes?

It seems possible. I don't really know. What I can tell you is that I have had some of the best coffee I have ever tasted in a lucid dream. This is something about which I am very particular in waking life. Some authors I have read say that smell and taste in the astral or in dreams are only memories, and that it is not possible to actually smell or taste away from the physical body.

i play guitar and in some dreams ive played some incredible/brilliant/kick-butt/beautifal   music  but i can either never remember it or my recreation of it when awake sounds pathetic and far from beautifal/incredible etc....

ive wondered weather the music you hear in dreams is your 100% natural taste in music and you tap into what music you really like in dreams.

I remeber once listening to a Tears For Fears track in a semi lucid dream that was as celar as if I was listening to the album. I've also had several occasions when in bed in that state between awake and asleep (hypnogogic I think?)  I have very clearly "listened" to musical compositions that are af my own creation. I am a currrently dormant musician and have composed a bit in the past. It was wonderful to hear these tunes, but I didn't know how to relax and stay with it so I always end up breaking out of that state, and then the tune is gone

Thanks Fredhedd, thats brought back a memorable experience where in a lucid dream I visited a library and went to the music section, where I found shelfs full of seemingly original music ! as I focused on the lyrics and the tablature I could here it playing clearly, there were plenty of good pop tunes, and some more obscure ones too !!

Once again, the major problem is remembering...there was one song that I could recall on waking, i was singing it all morning !! i didn't write it down though, and now I just have vague memories of a very good lucid dream !!!

The 1st obe I had.That I actually left my house.As soon as I flew out my window.This song starts playing,so clearly like I was listening to the cd.Last time I heard it was more than a year before.If your wondering which song.Its the one in my sig.

I don't recall ever hearing music, but I've heard something that sounded similar to a harp being played.  Apparently its a different level or something.  I've also heard bells.  They both sounded very nice.

i've heard that in lucid dreams it may be possible to listen to whatever kind of music y ou want. i'm wondering if anyone has had any experience actually hearing a certain song they wanted to, that they already know all of the words to and have heard numerous times beforehand. also if it would be possible to "hear" the song loud enough to have other projectors hear it too. or maybe if there is a place that you can go to where there are other projectors listenting ot the same song. a Tool room would be bad butt.
