Mind awake listening to body asleep

Yeah same thing happened to me last week- I was using the BWG with a GAMMA AP setting, and dammit if I didn't catch myself snoring. I would be wide awake mentally but I'd actually be snoring, it was the weirdist thing.

Sometimes, but then my body notices it, and wakes up. I can tell because I can slowly start to hear sound. So, I'm not sure if I'm doing something to ruin the state, or if it's the radio being on.

Has your mind ever woken up before your body ,leaving you in the desired mind awake/body asleep state? Mine has, several times but i only realised what exactly was happening when it happened to me last night.Basically some time after falling asleep, my mind will awaken separate to the body.How do i know this? Well daft as it may seem, i awake to hear myself snoring.My body is still fast asleep.I lie there listening for a while and if i choose i can stop myself from snoring without awakening my body.I find this similar to several years ago when i would fall asleep in the sitting room and 'wake up' to hear other peoples voices.I didnt fully understand it at the time, but i knew i was asleep while concious of my surroundings.Next time this happens i must use the situation for a projection attempt.
