Yes.. the one thing about my iPod that I hate is I can't just play a single track.. it automatically goes to next.. or I can loop the single track over and over.. but that has its problems as well because once you reach the right state, you don't necessarily want the thing going over and over again.

What you do is create a new playlist, then add just that one track to it.
It'll play it once, then stop.  :)

Well, a Binaural Beat won't do anything "for you".
While listening to them, just semi-focus on the "beat" that you hear... while you go about whatever exercise/method/technique you're doing.  :)

Well in this case the track is supposed to encourage vibrations do do you just keep your mind blank and hope some vibrations start or what?

Binaurals don't "encourage" anything either.
They simply place your mind into a more receptive state.

Now, receptive to "what" exactly?  That "WHAT" is what you need to do.  The "WHAT" is the action you take to move you towards your goal.
That's all.  :)

You can, literally, sit/lie there listening to these binaural beats for hours on end and they'll do nothing for you.
Now, someone might say "well I've done that... I've sat there listening to them and I've felt stuff".  Well, no, you haven't "just sat" there, you've sat there listening, probably intently.  That's doing something... that something is "placing your intent towards listening to them intently".  THAT is enough... THAT is doing something.  :)

So really, it's all a state of mind and what you place your Intent towards while listening to them.

Well I didn't have any "luck" with it last night but I'd just got back from a big meal at a restaurant and didn't get that much sleep the night before, so it wasn't surprising that I feel asleep while listening. The beat was very immersive though I have to say.

K thanks but is the idea to drift to sleep while listening or not?

Nah.. unless you want to sleep.. :)

There are other tones for Lucid Dreaming but this one, from what I udnerstand, is for concious Astral projection. So you would try to achieve a "BodyAsleep/MindAwake" (BAMA) state of awareness while listening. At that point, as suggested by Ryan_ on his website, you could use various techniques to make your inner focus greater. He suggested the "Noticing Technique" but anything that deepens that inner focus is what you should be doing. Then move toward having an OBE.

What is the BEST binaural track to help with vibrations when you are going to sleep? I trying to find the best track for this across the internet. I am thinking this could be probably the best thing to encourage the body to vibrate and to exit from when drifting to sleep.

Why do you say that?
I think the program outputs really good tracks... but like any program, you get out only what you put in.

It takes a little bit to figure out how to use, but once you do, you have access to almost an endless supply of Binaural Beats.  :)

Is binaural different to Hemi-sync?

It's just that I was listening to Hemi-sync tones the other day and it was a different experience to the Binaural track..

The hemi-sync just has two tones, one 100hz, the other 104hz and then the brain creates the 4hz difference..

Just trying to understand.

Yes, Hemi-sync is the copyrighted name for Binaural Beats.  They're the same thing.

Now, TMI does use their Hemi-sync quite often in conjunction with actual music and sounds too.

I still use Binaural Beats/Isochronic Tones everytime I have a Phasing Session. I know they are considered by the pros here to be "Training Wheels", but I have made them a valuable technique in my Phasing process. Everyone has to find what works for them, once you do there is no stopping you from succeeding over and over again. I still do 3-5 minutes of Progressive Relaxation and viewing my "Spinning Top" until I find that my awareness is changing. From there I go immediately to "noticing" and on to the Astral. My first area I always see in the the Astral is my "Safe Zone" also known as my beach scene that I have created. That seems to ground me, then I change my intent to whatever my goals are for this Phasing Session. It took quite awhile to find a procedure that worked, alot of trial and error. Just like with any other experiments, there is always steps you need to achieve success. :-)

Hi Ryan,

Listening to your track now.. and I wonder if you have a track that is basically the same but with the brown noise a little lower level. I'd prefer it if the brown noise (the hissing sound) was about half the volume/level it is now. I want to be able to concentrate more on the binaural beat and not get distracted by the brown noise so much.

Thanks

Try Isochronic Tones. You don't need headphones with these. DJ Vishnu Meditation Series is a great place to start.

I tried the IsoTones.. I really don't like them and they give me a headache, whereas the Binaural tones don't give me a headache.. rather the opposite. Even just listening to them at work, they make me feel calm, serene, relaxed and peaceful. Yesterday I tried one of the IsoTones at work and I started to get a headache within a few minutes.. then I switched to a Binaural tone track and was almost immediately rewarded with the pleasant sensations including the disolving of my headache.

So I really need to stick with the Binaural tones I think.

Had an amazing experience with this track last night. I didn't get OoB or anything like that. I wasn't trying to, to be honest. I'd watched the Tom Campbell 1.5hr youtube video earlier in the night. So I was more focused on no expectations etc.

Anyway, the amazing experience was in the form of increased/wider awareness while listening to the tape. The binaural beat actually started to sound more like a drum beat.. or like the sound of the heartbeat in your ears sometimes. Then I must have fallen asleep temporarily and when my girlfriend, laying in bed beside me, rolled over and bumped me awake. After that I had full body vibrations, vibrating in time with the binaural track. I attempt to feel/will myself to float but didn't really get anything out of that.. so I just resorted to enjoying the "full body sync" because that is what it felt like. It wasn't just hemi-sync in the brain, it was a full body sync.. like waves of vibrations following the binaural beat, drumming out throughout my entire body. It faded a little but then it came back the more I tried to NOT focus on it.

After a while I must have fallen asleep, had a bit of hypnogogic nonsense and strange visual light flashes and the next thing I noticed was some weird music. I'd fallen asleep and the next track on my iPod had started to play. It was some Guns and Roses track; I'd forgotten to set it to play only the Binaural track.. haha.. oops! The weird thing is that it was NOT jarring or unpleasant.. it was like the music was also generating a synchronisation in my brain as well, so when I woke up.. it was like hearing music in a dream..

Anyway, seems like I will need to experiment a bit more with this track.

Oh yes, almost forgot: Even after I took off the headphones and lay in the silence of the night, getting ready for proper sleep.. I was still VERY aware, not sleepy at all.. and I could FEEL the energy surging through my body.. not just a phantom tingle of sensation.. it was a very noticeable and strong energy ebbing within my body.

And another thing.. during the whole experience, my girlfriend had bumped up against me, put her arm or leg on top of me and I put my hand on her etc etc and yet I was still able to maintain my deep meditation. This is one of the things that Tom was saying in that lecture.. you need to learn to be able to do this in any circumstance.. break the mould.. I just noticed the feeling (e.g. of my girlfriend putting her hand on my abdomen) and then not so much ignored it but made it a part of the environment no different to the bed beneath me.

It definitely is important to kind of prepare for any distractions while Phasing. I live in the country where it is quiet except for the beautiful sounds of nature. We used to have a dog that barked at everything. She was 17 years old and mostly deaf and blind. Buy still wanted to show her worth. She passed during the extreme heat this year. RIP. I learned to block out the barking, then I tried putting TV on while I phased. In awhile I learned to block that out too. The only thing that really kills my focus is really strong Hypno-Jerks. They are happening less and less now though.
That Tom Campbell video is really incredible. I know I keep saying it, but it is true. Have you watched the entire 5 Part series? It's an hour and half a piece, but incredibly informative. Especially made for skeptics.
Congratulations on your success Light487.  :-)

I only watched the Part 5 so far.. but that is where he talks about detaching from the Ego so you can cope with all those distractions. One thing I did when I was starting my session was lay my hand on my GF's thigh as we both lay in bed. She was basically asleep already and I sort of used that physical connection with her as a way of intending myself to deal with any distractions that may come from her body moving during my session. So before she even had moved and/or bumped into me, I chose to accept the possibility she would roll over or bump me.. made it part of my environment. In the end, it's not about the body or the physical senses.. so it really shouldn't matter. By doing this, I really think it helped to set a precedent in my mind that it is "OK to have something external to me that may or may not bump up against me during my session".. then it wasn't like I was in a rush to get through as much as I could before being bumped; or constantly on edge in case she bumped me.. I just accepted that it is entirely possible and I would deal with it when/if it happened... it was quite liberating to be able to do that. In fact, her bump that made me get "bumped up in awareness" a little into that full body sync was actually helpful rather than distracting.. all because of my original mindset.. and because I had relinquished most of my ego response.
