Come to think of it, how come most cant do that when OOB? its not like we have eyes or anything?

Yup, I agree.  I've heard about it many times in the literature, but personally I've never experienced 360 deg vision, and was wondering if anybody else has?  In theory you should be able to see, not just all the way round behind you, but also above and below, just as if you were a pinpoint and could see everywhere at once!

I may have but I'm not sure because the memory of the experience wasn't too clear after it happened.  It briefly seemed like I was viewing everything in my room at the same time and I couldn't really tell the direction of what I was looking at.

I agree, habit seems to have a significant affect on perception during OBE

Catmeow, have you ever thought about having 360 degree or spherical vision while OOB? This might work as imagination tends to have a big affect on the creating of a reality while OOB. Ive never thought about it, and generally have trouble remembering to do things like that while OOB...

Hi guys, sorry haven't really been pushing this thread... been busy..!

Thanks for the thread MajorTom... intersting scrap ending with a mention of spherical vison at the end...!

In actual fact I can just about imagine 360 deg vision.  It doesn't seem that weird to me.  I believe there are a few animals and insects which must have this type of vision in the physical because of the positions of their eyes.. for instance I think some birds have one eye either side of their head which means they see left and right but with a gap in their vision straight ahead!  I'm sure this seems perfectly natural to them!

One last point.  We all already have 360 degree hearing!  In other words we're aware of sounds all around us at the same time and have no problem with this!  So our minds clearly already have this capacity.

Quick question...

Has anyone experienced the 360 degree wrap-around vision I've heard about?  In other words, has anybody been able to see all the way around themselves at the same time whilst OOB?  I've read a few case-histories where this happened, but has anyone on this board experienced it?
