Title: Astral wind/current...
Post by: AndrewTheSinger on September 30, 2003, 09:02:01
I've experienced the wind and found it to be one of the best ways to exit the body, in a sense that it feels very natural and subtle, and the aftermath is usually intense.

Yesterday I was reading an e-book on Spiritual Travel and found a tip for when the head is glued to the body: Imagine your head inflating like a balloon, when it gets sufficiently large it will float out.

"I usually end up twisting my "astral body" like you would tear a branch off of a tree... It works but, could this be harmfull?"

It feels like you're tearing up the brain doesn't it? Don't know if it can be harmful but it sure feels like it might be, it's almost painful.

Sometimes, I would just lie down and then some kind of wind would appear and blow me out of my body.

More often than not, the wind pisses me off.  I don't have too many problems with it anymore, but it was a pain in my a** when I was first starting out.

I think the astral wind could be made up of two things.  One, I think a big part of what we call the astral wind is nothing more than a lack of control in the astral.  For example, once we separate, as beginners, our mind goes all over the place with excitement, wonder, fear, etc.  Since everything is propelled by thought in this environment, we experience a sweeping and pulling in certain directions.

Another explanation for the wind is that it has an intended purpose, designed to take you somewhere specifically.

However, more often than not, it's just served to ruin my experience because I feel like a feather in the middle of a tornado.

Also, sometimes, my "astral head" cannot seperate easily as the rest of the body...  I usually end up twisting my "astral body" like you would tear a branch off of a tree...  It works but, could this be harmfull?  Would you have a better/easier/safer way to do it?

No, that wouldn't be harmful.  While I don't really get stuck "at the head", I almost always TWIST out of my body by rolling to one side.  This usually pries me free from the physical if I'm having trouble separating.

Wow I never heard of that! That must be the best way for OBE.

Is the wind cold? Warm? Bolth?

I never experience a temperature with it.  It's just like a current which takes you through the black void, often at astronomical speeds.

I never noticed a wind during OBE until recently. I had an emotional reaction in astral, and this wind (or force) literally pulled me backwards and sucked me back into my body.
