At the heart of phasing what do you experience?

Two questions.
1) When you do a conscious phase between dimensions, what do you experience? eg do you go into your consciousness or self or is it more like tunning or focusing on what your consciousness perceives.
2) Do you need to forget about the body to phase? Also to what degree? eg totally forget. Thanks.

For me, it is like going into my own consciousness, but because I have only been as far as F2, I am going into my own consciousness. It may be different when you go into F3.

Actually, I'm going to change my answer. It is like both of the things you mentioned. As you phase into other areas of consciousness, you are tuning "deeper" into consciousness and focusing in on other areas of consciousness.

In my experience, yes, you do need to forget about your body completely. You do this through focusing 100% on what you're doing, whether it is noticing or doing a rundown.

Thanks for that any of the rest of you want to share your experiences.

I don't phase, but I understand it well I think.

But, disclaimer, since I don't phase, just consider this a random comment that holds no weight.

I'm only going to speak to the body bit, because I can't tell you what you experience in the shift.....well I kind of can but I won't.

You need to forget about the body for any of this and phasing is designed specifically to do that in a way.  Phasing engages your "senses" to such a high degree that you go through a phase shift from focus on the physical to the non.  So forgetting the body is the whole idea.

The idea is that you become so immersed in your "environment" that your focus shifts.

Read about what phasing is, particularly phase shifts.  That helped me to get what the phase idea was about, because i'm not an electrical engineer.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phase_(waves)

One frequency of focus is your body, the other is the non-physical realms.  Phasing is shifting your awareness away from the body and toward this "non-physical" realm, whatever you experience that to be.
be awesome.

I agree with everything your saying personalreality except this
"Phasing engages your "senses" to such a high degree".
You make it seem like it's a heightened state of consciousness. I thought it was a lowered state of consciousness but a heightened focus.

personalreality

you still go through a "visualization" type experience designed to engage your senses, something that can captivate you.

it's not really a lowered state of consciousness, it's more of a shift in conscious awareness.
be awesome.

You're talking about a rundown, right? Rundowns aren't necessary for phasing. Just the noticing exercise can completely distract you from your body, focus your mind, and engage your sense of sight to a very high degree. This is just like what a rundown does, except a rundown is meant to engage as many senses as possible. If you do noticing long enough, it can take you in to F2, just like a rundown, but without any imagery.

This relay is a slow motion guided tour through my experience of phasing-

In regard to question #1 in the original post, this video describes both opportunities for phasing- only in the example I give in this relay I do not take the latter opportunity- I am transitioned back to the void and from here phased again into the room..

With me, because kundalini is involved in my experience I never forget the body.  This said, my experience of it changes dramatically.  It is no longer felt as set, put, fixed thing, but rather as what I call a field--a field of highly electric (incredibly alive) energy that is no longer perceived as separate or 'other than' consciousness.  The merging of the consciousness with body, throughout the entirety of my experiences is felt by me as bliss.  As bliss  w a v e s . .

Thanks for that omcasey. Nice to see a video on AP from you.

In my opinion you don't need to forget your body to phase. Frank call it "Focus overlay", and is the kind experiences I am having...of course getting your body to sleep is the better (maybe the only) way to achieve full technicolor 3D stereo surround experiences but stepping into other areas of consciousness can be done beeing quite aware of your body. I've had some interesting experiences while feeling my body (very relaxed but awake). You don't have to wait until you can achieve a mind awake/body asleep state to start exploring...you only have to train to focus your attention.
