Hi All.

Been a while since I last posted anything. I got some real help from this site after having very little success with conscious projecting. Unfortunately I think I took on too much info at once here and the very little experiences I was getting seemed to just vanish. It was advised (can't remember who but I think it was a moderator) that I was trying too hard so I haven't been back since today. I also stopped trying various methods for a while and went back to my reading of metaphysical literature (a few Seth books and Tom Campbell).

My mojo is back and I can now at least get back to the Vibrational stage (or the bouncy stage I call it). This stage usually is followed by me just riding it out and continuing to try and thoughtlessly 'observe' but sorry so say the exit methods haven't worked for me yet. This is where I fall alseep and usually have intense dreams but i'm not consciously aware of the state.

Recently however (3 times now) I have had Lucid Dreams. Now I'm slightly dissapointed that I didn't have the conscious leaving the body sensation and floating around the room I'm sleeping in, but I consider this a great step forward.

Im my last Lucid Dream I did not leave the body and was already in the dream state when my consciousness knew what was happening. I did a test by looking for my limbs which I could clearly see then touching my fingertips together to see if I could feel which I could. I couldn't however control any movement and I seemed to be static floating about 12ft in the air in the middle of a beautiful Park with white coloured trees. The clarity was awesome!

I've started doing a dream journal and the frequency of dreams (I can actually remember) has increased. Now I feel that I have made progress even though it's all subjective. I'm still dubious that Lucid Dreaming is projection (or a non physical reality experience) and lets face it at the end of the day it is only dreams I have experienced but I'm happy with this for now.

My real aim is to be able to leave the body and roam my local environment. I've even asked my wife to put a symbol/number/word on top of a cupboard so I can look for it during projection and test the results. But for now I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here that gave advice and pointed me in the right direction.

Hi

I will take a good solid lucid dream with awesome clarity over roaming the local environment any day.

Enjoy those lucid experiences! Do not always look to "what is next". They are not just mere lucid dreams. They will open doors man, but you have to be present in them and experience them!  :-D

Also, many have had trouble reading symbols/text/numbers in an OBE or phased state. If you can do it, that would be awesome. Just do not be disappointed if you cant.

Thanks Interception. It really was a great experience! I'm not however going to let my expectations run wild like I have in the past. I've done a fair bit of reading since I started the forums and now realise that exercising ALL aspects of our consciousness is the only way to grow. I think I have been too concerned with astral projection being the only cosciousness improvement vehicle.

The dream journal helps greatly;... the idea and suggestion to become aware in your dreams leads to LDs, then noticing dream triggers gets you aware in your dreams...all that helps and is to a degree necessary...then you find whatever moments are available to you: a nap or a midnight wake up, that gives you the opportunity for an exit or a NP experience. You can't be sure how or when it may occur...just remain open to it and be ready to respond...and then move on from there. Depending on what you experience, advice can then be given...
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

Absolutely Escapevelocity. The journal was definately acting as a tool. I still go back and read them frequently so I can remember the emotional experience as well as the physical senses experience. Getting wrapped up in other peoples experiences, methodology and opinions can act as a dampener I think. Subjective dream recording and analysis is definately the best place to start for anyone getting into NPR.

But seeing the symbols is not impossible.  My brother and I experimented with this idea.  I would cut out a photograph from a magazine and put it inside an envelope.  Then he would go meditate - sometimes for 20 minutes sometimes for a solid hour - and come back and tell me what he saw in his minds eye.  The cool thing is he always got really close what was in the envelope.  For example I'd put a photograph of a bicycle wheel in the envelope and he'd come back saying there was a ball (same shape) or I put a photograph of a tree in there once and he came back saying he could see a bush.
Great stuff!

That was back when he did months of intense 3rd eye stimulation though.

Hi Paul this can be really frustrating when you don't get results after such a long time and no matter what you do nothing seems to happen, but persistence can pay off.

For me just as one of the moderators as mentioned on here ALL NPR experiences are just that, the only difference from a 'dream'astral projection'night mare or however you want to label it is your level of awareness and control that you are able to take in my opinion.

The reason I say this is because of my own experiences and the level of awareness that I've had to exert in order to progress, and this I have.

You mentioned about the RTZ real timezone or the here and now, well I believe if you have the intent to be in the RTZ you can, from whatever local you are in, but you have to have the awareness to do this.

The following is from my own experience.

For the best part of a year I would say I've had little or no astral experiences dreams yes but with no awareness, I think now I may have crossed a bridge. I mediate every day and use affirmations and creative visualisation, one being I see myself rolling ootb walking through my bedroom door and transporting myself outside my house. For months I'd programmed myself for this to happen once asleep sometime in the night. Twice in the last 4 nights I've had much more success.

3 nights ago I became aware my astral vehicle was lose from my physical, so I rolled out onto the floor stood up and walked straight through my bedroom door. The I  said awareness clarity and energy NOW 3 times and that's what I got while standing outside my bedroom. I then said "outside now" while looking at another bedroom window, meaning to just appear outside my house. Then a funny thing happened. I kind of got sucked into the window and appeared in an alice in wonderland environment where a doll like figure started talking to me. Don't ask me what she was talking about because I have no idea. Things faded and that was the end of that.

Last night I had the same awareness, rolled out then opened my eyes, saw my bedroom door and Walked straight through it but unfortunately that was that.

What I've learned is persistence pays off and that once I am aware I will try harder to transport myself outside my house with even more insistence and after each try I remember what I did last time as I've programmed myself for it to happen.

I hope that my experience can inspire you to never give up. Looking forward to my bed and another but longer astral journey. .
Perception is everything, because you think you see it, does it mean its true?

paul72

Hi Sagar. Yeah I didn't expect great results on that front but it doesnt hurt to try.

Blidge that's some experience you've had. I definately wont give up I think I just needed to lighten up I guess. I've reigned in my expectations and since then the results have been unexpected and enjoyable however few. Ive been reading much on visualization techniques and I couple this with my meditation method and if I get vibrations of any sort I try an exit method. It will work for me someday i've just stopped expecting it to.

Yeah expectation is everything and without it its near impossible. You really have to know it's gonna happen because when it does for me I'll be ready to prolong the journey and achieve my initial goal of transporting myself as opposed to just walking. .

Hi Paul72.  By the sound of it you've probably already read everything under the sun and already know this, but because you say you are getting to the vibrational stage, I'll mention this.

I almost never get vibrations anymore.  I only got them when I first started, but a few nights ago I awoke to being in a light vibrational state.  I was sleepy and might have just gone back to sleep, but almost instantly my higher-self increased the vibrations just like reving the engine of a car.  The feeling and sound of the vibrations increased so they almost of overwhelmed me.  This only took 3 seconds to accomplish and then I popped out body and was on my way.  My higher self new exactly how to get this done and did it quick.  I've had many experiences in projections where my higher-self is in control and so I've learned to recognize the feeling of this.

Now my 'lower' self or I, the way I normally am, could have done the same thing if I had fought off the grogginess and chose to do it.  It was just nice that my higher-self decided to do me a favor and show me how to get it done quick.

During the day, I'd suggest imagining the feeling of when the vibrations come on.  Then, by thought, rev the engine so to speak.  Imagine the sound increasing as well as the feeling of vibrating, until it almost overwhelms you. Just a few seconds of this will do.  Then imagine rolling or stepping out of your body with no problems.  Remember that everything in the non-physical is accomplished by thought.  If you can think it (and feel it) it will happen.  When you get comfortable with this, do it when you get the vibrations in NP.  Don't second guess yourself, just quickly do it.

I think this works so well ( the INTENSE and loud vibes) because something about the intensity of it has the effect of pulling us briefly out of an all too physical mind set that hinders our exit.  Just a feeling...maybe there's more to it than that.  Good luck!  :)

paul72

Thanks Soarin12. That sounds like good advice, especially visualisation in the day. I have actually managed to increase the intensity of the vibrations before but again the exit method didn't seem to work. Here's what I have used so far:

Rope visualisation(I held some rope to help with the feeling)

Roll out.

Just saying 'out' in my mind

Visualising being in another room/outside.

I'm happy now to persevere though even though these methods haven't worked.....yet!
