Buzzing noise inside me

Hello Willoc,

Welcome to the forum. [:)]

Generally a buzzing noise like this relates to one of the bodies energy centres (or chakras as they're often referred to) getting really charged up.

You're right in that it is something that you feel as much as hear, so calling it a sound doesn't always seem to fit.

As an example, and something I've felt a few times, one of the classic pre-cursors to an OBE is a high vibration rate in the area of your heart. One of the main energy centres is located around the heart.
At first it feels like your heart is beating rapidly, even though you know your in a very relaxed state. Then it feels like the speed of your heartbeat keeps going faster and faster, until its more like a buzz than a beat. You get the feeling that you've got a small two-stroke motor running inside your chest.

The other location in your body that this can happen is in your head, and this relates to the third eye or brow energy centre, another one of the main energy centres of the body.

It is by no coincidense that these two energy centres, which are prone to that buzzing sensation when they become really active, are the two points where the astral body (thought/spirit) can leave the physical body during an OBE.

I don't know if htis will come as a surprise to you, but if your getting this kind of buzzing when you meditate, your about a step away from astral projection.

Hope this helps,
James.

Looks like I'll have to try to find a way to get past that last step.  I have, ahem, strange occurences that happen when I'm lying face up or meditating but I can never really get into them willfully.

The buzzing could be attempted communication from astral. A sufficiently complex communication input into a brain for the first few times could sound like buzzing (randomness). If you think about the buzzing long enough, you might understand the message.

Good idea, but when I listened to it long enough it felt like a continuous frequency instead of different signals.  Sounded and felt very uniform.

A calm relaxed state along with clear and definite intent to leave your body is the next step you need to achieve an OBE, assuming that is what you want to do.

There is a couple of bucket loads of info in these forums about the stage you are going through. Use the search functions and you'll find info on all sorts of methods, and what peaople have experienced.
Also you might want to check out the Astral Pulse main website and have a look at Robert Bruce's article Tretise on OBE.

All the best,
James.

Willoc, connect headphones directly to a cable tv signal. It would sound the same, but there is definitely a message in it.

Which stage am I getting to?  Is there a name for it?

I've searched for a while but it's hard to get a firm grasp of where I am at.  I can get to a point where I feel dizzy/lightheaded/energised.  I don't really know how to describe it.  I try to use the "Body asleep, mind awake" but this is confusing.  Thanks for the help by the way.

I guess you're 10% - 40% to an OBE.

I remember for the longest time whenever I would sit there or recently when I have started meditating a buzzing noise would come into being.  I can make it get louder or quieter at will now as well.  I'm just wondering what it is because I saw on a webpage that it was the natural noise of your body but I can't find anymore on the subject.  I don't know where this pertains to, but teh page i saw referencing it was an OBE page so I'm posting it here.  Could someone give me some information on it?

Also, lately, I've been noticing that whenever I work with it, it starts seeming like its not a noise at all, but something that could be picked up by a different sense.  Could be that I'm just becoming used to it but it's more like a I feel it vibrating now instead of hearing the high pitch buzzing of it.
