Hey, I just joined this forum cause I'm really interested in Astral Projection after having an out-of-body experience, (drug induced).
I've been using a program called Brainwave Generator to try and have one. I converted the sound to .mp3 and put it on my iphone and I listen to it pretty often.
After 25-30 minutes my body gets very numb and my hands feel pretty heavy. I meditate while I do this, btw. Usually I get pretty strong vibrations and somewhere along the way, I get colors running through my head, usually always purple. I am never able to get out of my body though.... There is stages where my mind will like blank out and miss part of the sounds as if i fell asleep for half a second then awoke.
Any tips are very appreciated.

Thanks, Mogio.

Hi Mogio,

I recently just used binaural beats to enter a deep trance state and it worked for me too.  I think the more you use it the faster it'll take to relax.  It's like training wheels to teach your brain how to slow down.  I just started yesterday and after five minutes of listening I started to see images. Works for some people.  The main thing is to keep your focus 'away' from the body either through pushing your awareness into one of the images (without losing lucidity) or keeping your mind's eyes at some focal point outside your body.  Anything that makes your subconscious think 'out'

Hope that helps. And welcome to the club. I'm new too  8-)

Thanks your reply,
I suppose I'm going to have to keep trying and try to not think about the vibrations and my body all together.
Also, when I was in a deep trance, I started seeing an eye in my mind. I kept feeling as this was some kind of guide or something, It was surrounded with colors and there was points when my leg would start pulsing.

Any other tips?

Haha, as if it was that easy. I can get very very relaxed, but How am I supposed to get out of my body, and what does "Shifting my awareness" mean and how can I do it?

Well, the first step is to relax.  :)
Yes, it is easier said than done.  hehe

You've gotta relax physically and mentally... but don't *try* at it.  Cause trying causes the opposite to happen generally.

The "shifting your awareness" shouldn't require any work as it'll happen automatically once your body goes from awake to asleep.

After the shift, you'll be in, what we call, the Trance state.  From there, pick your exit technique and go nuts.  ;)
