Title: Blasted sounds

I think, if you can realise that they really are coming from your own brain, is the key.  It's when you doubt them, like me "oh no...what was that that just broke?"

jilola,  i have been having THE exact same problem as you lately and i know exactly what you mean about getting around your own brain.  its like how can you not acknowledge it???  i  can maintain it for a few seconds but then it goes, and is  without doubt due to my awareness being drawn to it, or i try to hear it with my own ears as if it were a  incoming sound.

stragely, the sound in my head the other night was perpetual and even when i aknowledged it it remained....  i concluded it must have been a problem with my ears, usually i cannot consiously  listen to one of these infamous inner sounds...

i got no advice to give here but know that you not alone in your frustration. :D

Hi guys!

I've tried to reason with myself that since the sounds are in my head I should just ignore them. It's just so hard for me to ognore them because that means I'm ignoring my own creations.

But given that astral wildlife exists and that they can affect the perception of the various higher level bodies isn't it reasonable to assume that some of them are not in our? If everythoing is in our heads then is OBE a real phenomenon or is it in ourt heads as well.

Oh well, I'll just keep pushing. It'll happen one day, right?

try addressing the noises with calm awareness.  they are what they are.  and play with the sounds, make music with them.

k2sixx: That's exactly what I've thought is the solution. I've started to notice the noised and acknowledging them for what they are. I figured that if I just go with the flow they'll vanish.
I think they are only our subconscious's way of trying to steer us away from the unfamiliar by distracting us.

But it's my subconscious so why the h*** can't I just shut it up for th exit. It'll have plenty of playtime once I'm OB.

Cheers,

I've just about had it with the infamous sounds you get before exit. Mine have found the perfect recipe for breaking my concentration. They never seem to go for anything like a voice but rather a clank here, a squeak there, alway something that gires directly to my curiosity switch.
Just tonight I spent the better part of an hour nicely relaxed, feeling a gentle buzz and being bugged like #%&* by the noises. I just couldn't find a way to ignore them.

So here's my question: HOW DO YOU GET AROUND YOUR OWN BRAIN?!
