I have noticed that every night when I try to go to sleep, My arms start to get numb, Then my legs then more of my arms and legs and so on. I have trouble getting past this annoying part of sleep. I have trouble getting an obe started up. Might have something to do with my schedule bed at midnight up at noon.

Would this numbness have something to do with my sleep cycles?

I always get numb arms first, Then legs after that I cannot let go so I can possibly get into an obe as the numbness is quite distracting

Try to OBE at another time not associated with sleep, like in the afternoon. You have to be very, very relaxed, and if you can't do that, you have to learn to relax.

I remember all the uncomfortable quirks I had when I started, but you just have to keep practicing, practicing, practicing. Eventually you'll get used to them and past them.

i have trouble relaxing because of the numbness. do you have any links to some usefull relaxation methods?

To be honest, I wouldn't know where to find any. Maybe someone else has some good links to relaxation.

Here's something you can try: Focus all of your attention on your foot, saying something like "Foot, Relax" in your head. Imagine tension being release from this part of your body. When you feel your foot relax, move to your ankle and do the same thing. Then your calf, knee, thigh. Do the other leg, abdomen, chest, neck, hands, arms, shoulders, face, & scalp. Spend a minute or two on each part. It shouldn't take too long, maybe 10 to 15 minutes in total. If you still don't feel relaxed enough, do it again. There are some great breathing exercises out there that can accompany this.

Once you get your body in the habit of relaxing to this point, you don't have to do the exercise anymore. Your body will be able to relax just by remembering and willing that state of relaxation.

i have no way of using headphones when i lay down. I don't have a mp3 player. I would be too afraid to use one in fear of rolling over it and ripping out the wires on the headphones. I have been lurking here for a long while. i have came across the binural mp3's before. i could get them on my own with google. I guess i could invest in a cheap mp3 player from newegg and lay on the couch so i don't want to roll over.
