Title: Breathing issues during attempt
Post by: MinstruelZ on August 28, 2008, 08:59:25
I have an issue with breathing when I start getting vibrations, that heavy feeling in my body, and rushing sounds when trying to OBE or get lucid. It's like I feel out of breath and I keep having to turn my attention back to my breathing, like I have to consciously breathe. When my attention focuses back on my breathing the feelings in my body subside a little bit and then the feelings go away for the most part. Anyone experience this?

I get that too... I believe its got something to do with the throat-chakra - maybe you could focus more on opening and drawing energy to that. (?)

Keep practicing. The more experience you get reaching this stage, the more normal and relaxed it becomes. Eventually you won't notice it anymore and slip into trance before you know it. Almost all issues like this (eyes fluttering, muscle jerking, etc.) can be overcome by continually practicing and getting used to it. We go most of our lives passing through these stages unconsciously, and now you're staying as conscious as you can. It takes a little while to become normal.

It usually means you are not relaxed enough.
Relax to a point where you forget breathing.
Difficult initially .... but as he said, a matter of practice.
Concentrating on the ringing sound in ears helps to take off attention away from breathing.
