Because an AP "Inducer" was playing in the other room and after a while, I saw "Mist," it was the size of my dog and it also did my dogs usual walking path into my room.

Dogs and animals can AP but its (almost) never conscious AP. They don't have any memory of it, like we don't when were not conscious of it. I'm not sure though if you really saw your dog's astral body.
I'm not sure if they can project, but I'm pretty sure they can see into the spirit world. My Aunt died a couple of years back, but before she was bedridden. Her constant companion, was her cat. When her daughter left the room after checking on her mom, the cat all of the sudden (who was really always calm before) started FREAKING out- like scared, hissing etc. So her daughter went back in, to check on her mom, and she had just died.
I think the cat saw something weird happening. Maybe saw my aunt leaving her body, or worse maybe something escorting her to her next world. (if you believe in like a dark angel or grim reaper) Kind of freaky!
animals can defianately project/see in the astral world. When our last family dog passed away my cat sat beside her purrying. When she passed away my cat jumped up and ran away like it saw a ghost.
Of course. Why would we be the only animals capable of AP? If the "soul" exists, Im sure it must exist for all lifeforms. Maybe simpler lifeforms just have simpler souls which are capable of evolving over time.
