How Many Obe's in a month?

Ap Friends,

Not that quantity is better than quality, but just as a curiosity how many obe's do you regularly have a month? What would you consider a good and bad month?

Just to get this started - been a great month for me and have had 12 experiences. Hope to sneak a few more in before June turns to July.

I probably have around 8- 10 experiences per month but most of these are of a poorer quality: something between an obe and a lucid dream. So, I probably really only manage, say, 1 to two genuine projections per month, and these usually only last for a few fleeting seconds.

Right now it seems downright impossible to achieve a fully conscious obe, which actually lasts more than a second or two. Can you offer me any tips based upon your own exit method TVOS?

Thanks.

David Warner

Doch,

I don't think its in the exit method you are seeking that will give you longer, lasting experiences. Its the intent behind that drives the experience and how much energy you can give.

Sometimes my experiences can last 10 seconds or 10-15mins and I've returned back to the body. But before going out of body, I focus, set my intent, my objective, what that I want to accomplish and go for it.

Just projecting and not having a specific task at hand to carry out you'll find yourself back in the body before you can blink your eye.

Hope this helps!

Kraven Obscuria

Lately, due to physical exhaustion from working too much and a low energy level, maybe only two short experiences a month in addition to at least 6-10 lucid dreams.

When I was practicing everyday, raising energy and doing different exercises I would have some sort of experience everyday morning and night.  Whether it was only 10-15 seconds of trying to get off the bed, or actually passing thru a window out of the house or shifting from a lucid dream elsewhere...
Without fail, when I would take a nap in the morning, I would always get vibrations, or at least be aware of them without any further effort on my part.

Just goes to show how important practice is,and how this work must be integrated as a part of daily life, no matter how difficult. It seems only then can the opportunity for true progress begin to present itself.

okay, thanks.

I suppose I'm not terribly good at A) inducing the obe state, vibrations for example, or  B) maintaining the obe experience even when I do manage to make some progress. Might I ask what percentage of your projections are accompanied by the vibratory state, and what other kind of sensations ( if any) accompany your obe's?

Apologies if you have already stated this before on the forums.

Thanks.

- 6 in May
- 1 in June (wasn't really attempting to project at all this month)

And all of mine have been probably about 2-3 minutes long, except for my first one which maybe lasted 30 seconds.

My 1st/2nd/5th/7th were the best ones. My first two I was hyper-concious in both. The 5th had some amazing light features in my room, and the 7th I made it into outer space (my current objective is to cruise by some solar systems and get some nice views of our galaxy).

1st one was the most realistic one, probably because it was a new amazing feeling, but at the same time I realized I had felt that "feeling" when having an OBE many times before when I was younger.

Doch,

If you visit my web site, you can download my tracking on statistics, number hours of sleep, food, validations etc. www.invisiblelight.us

In a nutshell, I have the vibrations about 98% of the time and experience the wide awake induced obe. Here's the break down from

The importance of what Kraven Obscuria is talking about for sleep and work is a big factor in projecting. I've found through my tracking if I have 7-8hrs of sleep the night before increased the odds to project. Last week I was in Detroit changing out motherboards at extended stay hotels. I was running all over the metro area and being 200 miles from home staying at friends and family houses. I wanted to project, but the energy consumed was a lot and drained me.

I agree with Kraven, its all work, mental prep ration and being honest with yourself. Like anything in our physical lives, if we want to succeed nothing will back us down from reaching that goal.

Nay,

You are pro bally right and it does feel that way at times. As long one maintains it and is driven the information is valuable. Not just too me, but others as well to hopefully inspire.

I had wish that I tracked my experiences, day to day activity when I was younger, but didn't.

Oh...don't get me wrong, if it works for you fine.. TO ME, it is just way too much.  I just like to relax and let go... it hasn't steered me wrong yet.

I think if you are going to write a book on it later, doing what you do, is certainly the way to go.  But for personal gains.. I like my way..lol.

Hi Tvos

It's hard for me to give you an answer really.  What do you determine as an OBE?  I've had many times where my second body floats to the end of the bed - and that's it.  And where I feel my second body swaying inside my physical.  Do those count?

What about OBEs in the middle of dreams?  Are they included?  Are we including those in the RTZ and astral, or just RTZ or what?

What about high level lucid dreams?  Do you determine those as astral visits or "high level lucid dreams"?

If I lump all my experiences together (and not try to break them down into little boxes), then for the month of June I've had... too many to count!

If all the above are included then I experience something probably an average of once a day.  If we are talking strictly OBEs (and I know what you mean), then I've not had many this month - about 6 or so.

I've dried up. I can't even get a decent LD going!

I wonder what the deal is?

Hi jub jub

Are you keeping a dream journal?  Are you eating, breathing and sleeping OBEs?

Are you trying too hard?  Are you getting enough sleep?  Are you having lovely long lie-ins in the morning?  Are you getting afternoon naps?

You know what will happen... as soon as you think "I've had enough, I don't care if I never have another OBE again" - you'll have one.

No, no,no and no.

No, no, no, sometimes at work.

That's what happened to me before. It was a year since my first and last OBE and I started to think, " I'll never have another one." and then it happened!

Well, APing is not like a hobby or my life or anything like that. Considering some people never have any I consider myself fortunate. At least I know what to do when I experience the symptoms of an OBE!

Maybe I need some good Ju Ju!

If I try I have one pretty much every morning. The problem is when I'm getting lazy or feel I'm not coherent enough for such activity and don't even try. I believe I've never had more than 20 in one month, but I didn't check it. I haven't had spontaneous OBEs for a couple of years. Could be that I try more often than it could happen on its own.

David Warner

Selski,

Eventually, I would like to write a book on OBE's collecting the data that I use, experiences, interviews, religious and spiritual beliefs.  The biggest pitfall that I see is not repeating what already has been said and done. This is something I wrestle with and don't want to follow the obe book bandwagon.

My classification for the OBE's would be in the categories dream to lucid obe, false awakening, and wide awake induced. When one becomes conscious, has the ability to maintain focus, intent and stability in the experience. I think and feel that high level lucid dreams would definitely fall into the category of the obe.

Lately, I've been keeping track of the experience if I am talking with someone about obe, helping, or experimenting but not full conscious.
Just the other day, I was in a dream walking in the city downtown where I met up with two homeless men. At first, the men approached me asking for money and I gave the typical response "sorry, I've no money", but then it clicked and the light bulb turned on. I asked the men if they were able to tell me if ever had a OBE or a NDE that I would give them $$.

Even though, I was not conscious but there were signs and attempts I did write this down and consider this a MISC obe experience. Not falling into the false awakening, lucid to obe, or wide awake induced.

Hope that makes sense...!

Jub Jub,

I went thru a dry spell a few months ago and couldn't figure for the life of me where I was going wrong. It baffled me because I normally have around 8-10 experiences a month and to only have 2-3... The weird thing is that the next month was beautiful for quantity and quality. Probably, the best I've ever experienced. This is why I think its important to track all this data and try to find the key ingredients to what works.

The biggest factor I see is the amount of sleep the day before. Days of the week, taking a nap from earlier interrupter sleep. I am skeptical about specific foods being triggers for obe's. I've tried to reproduce the same foods consumed to see if that effected the obe trigger. So far, I only come to conclusion is that having fluids (water, orange juice, milk) before bed or nap is positive. Too much food to digest just burns a lot of energy. Lastly, this also falls into the category of work life, stress, anxiety, and time. The more you work in a day, multiple tasks, will physically wear you out. When its time for bed, the body is too tired and sleeps and has a challenging time connecting with the trance state to exit.

This all makes perfect sense and is 100% truth because of energy that we consume. I think the whole key is balance and organizing time efficiently and effectively.

I agree with Sarah about "throwing in the towel" - that's what happened to me 19yrs ago when I first had the obe. I fell to giving up, skepticism and once that happened (bang zoom) to the moon. Does this not also speak with love, practicing the guitar, a speech, debugging a program. You put so much energy and don't see results. Lay back on it for a few and it returns. Its basic that we are trying way too hard and getting too complex.
