It is worth a try. The only problem I see is that it would be like an affirmation, which I guess really isn't a problem at all[:O]
I had that idea myself, but I haven't tried it out. Reading about the preperation for obe reminded me a lot of self hypnosis. I think it's a really good idea to try out. I don't see how it could spoil or damage obe attempts in anyway, even if it turns out not to work. A lot of the concepts are the same.

Im a Certified Advanced Hypnotist and all the techniques that I've been reading on How to AP is the same as the Hypnosis techniques that we use for our subjects.
But the techniques that we use is a little different in the way that they use it. We use techniques that can put the subject into Somnambulism with in seconds and under 5 minutes.
Then we use a KEY WORD like (Deeply Relax) or (Sunset). Any simple word can be a KEY WORD.
When that person thinks it in their mind they will instantly be in that Relax Somnabulistic State.
From there you can AP. After that you can change your KEY WORD to (Project) and one can go back into somnambulism and astral travel with a single word.

I have been reading in the last week or so in this forum the concept of just letting OBE happen on itself without forcing the process. A "do nothing" approach, as someone put it. Also another member suggested a method for trance induction that is very similar to selfhypnosis (Mind awake body asleep affirmation with visualisation). I tried it and it works great.
So I was wondering if could program myself via self-hypnosis to better prepare myself for OBE once the bridge between consciousnes and sleep has been reached. Maybe even program a triggering mechanism that would automatically project me out. (Wile E. Coyote like [:P])
Just an Idea I had. I'd like to here anyone's opinion on this. I will experiment with it and see what's what.
