so ....
I had a dream that I'm on my bed and trying to project.
I know that it was a dream because there was another blanket on my bed and it was very heavy.

I covered myself then suddenly I felt the vibrations and everything turns white (or black ...?)
Then I heard two high pitched sounds and with each one, I see this bright light flashs.

I tried to move, then woke up.

What does this mean ? does it mean there is progress ?

Thanks

I wouldn't dismiss that so quickly. It could have been a hypnagogic hallucination or due to the "heavy" feelings of sleep paralysis.

i have had a few very vivid dreams where im trying to project, each one was somewhat successful. also, during attempts i have had dream like halucinations, mostly of family members coming into my room (through the locked door) and watching me attempt.

"I covered myself then suddenly I felt the vibrations" "Then I heard two high pitched sounds and with each one"

It's possible that in your dream you became semi conscious of what you consciously wanted to do. For instance before you fell asleep were you attempting to project? I would also say that those vibrations were real, as the high pitched sounds/squeals that accompany the vibrations is exactly what goes on with me during that phase of exiting. So it's like you became semi conscious of  your intentions to project and by that happening you were able to become aware of the vibrations that were going on while you were dreaming/sleeping. Half the time when Im attempting to project I'll slip into a very brief blackout period then when the vibrations kick in my consciousness just snaps back to full awareness. The other half of the time Im able to make it to the vibrations with no black out period, I guess it all depends on the situation.

Yes actually I was conscious and aware of this.
But unfortunately, I woke up before I could leave my body.
