Hello! I´m still trying to project myself too, but i think that it is possible. The technique that i will start to use it is mean to be done while awakened.
Many of the techniques are meant to be used while sleeping, but i heared of many others that done awakened.
The one that i learned it is simple: you must to relax your body (very relaxed) and then you try to get out. I think that one it´s the oldest one.

my tech is i lay down and close my eyes while telling my conciounceto go to the astral realm then picture it as a ball leaving your body. then when u picture it in the astral realm u picture it exploding into a human form (you).
i can seem to project bymyself. I have had people pull me out of my body then we battle but that is it. Will somebody give me a tech that will work soon.
I do not understand what you mean. Do you mean is it possible to have an instant projection? Like I am sitting here and think, "I will project now" and *bam* I am in the astral. Or do you mean to consciously leave your body without going to sleep and projecting through dreams?
I know it is possible to relax, get into a light trance and be able to leave. I also am pretty sure that it is possible to have an instant projection, but it may be difficult to get to that point. My first project (before I knew anything about projecting) happened pretty instantly and while I was awake sitting in a classroom. If it can happen once, I think it can happen again, though I have not been able to do it yet which I think is mostly because of myself and not anything else holding me back from doing it.
i want to be able to astral project i need someone to teach me a tech that actually works.
There are many techniques that work. The thing is not all of them work best for each person. Look around the forum for several different methods and try them all out. Go with whatever feels right to you. No one can tell you what will work best for you. You just have to practice and find out what works for yourself.
This is a technique I like:
When I start to think about anything physical, like why didnt i stop at 10 drinks last night [xx(], or why this isnt working, I tell myself to shut up and think about that later.

Yes it is possible. I have a friend who projects all the time. He will sit down, close his eyes and he is out of body less than one minute. I'm not sure how long it took him to get to this stage but with continual practice it is really very easy to project.
I have been able to tell myself 'okay I'm ready to travel' and then I go into an astral sight and then I am out of body.
I've read a few messages from this site and Im not sure if this influenced my travels but I see a tunnel where it seems I am traveling at light speed to a destination.
This is how I started. Close your eyes and look into the darkness and picture it as a 3d. "Go" into the darkness. if you see an outline focus on the outline and go into it. tell yourself to see what your being shown and you should get a clearer picture. forget that you should have a vibration or a feeling.

Forgot to mention that almost all of my astral projections are while I'm awake. I practiced daily and had a set hour which conditions the body. I read in one of my astral books that between hours of 2am thru 4am were the perfect time for this. After some practice your travel times will/can be changed and you will be able to travel any time you wish. :)

Of course it Is possible to project while being wide awake. The secret, of course, is Mind-Awake and Body-Asleep. So, If the physical body can be put asleep by some method (as, for example, through sleep paralysis) it should be relatively easy to poject. [:)]
Of course getting into the Mind-awake, body-asleep state is not quite So easy to do. Though is sounds simple learning the 'trick' usually takes time.
Mind awake body asleep isn't 100% required to oobe but it makes it easier.
