I was thinking as some people seem to try their obe techniques after they wake up, could this work as far as phasing is concerned? how could you do that would you just try the process after your eyes are open then close them again to try it or?

Actually, that's probably the best time to do it at.  :)
Also, if you can manage to wake up in the morning, yet stay perfectly still and keep your eyes closed, then that's an even better situation to phase from!

some people have trouble staying awake when you do what xanth does, but he practices this a lot so...

some people like to get up, maybe stay up for a few minutes (5min - 1hr), maybe have a cup of coffee, or just read about AP/OBE for a little while, maybe have some water or a pee, then go back to bed and try to phase.  you'd have to do a bit of trial and error to find out what works for you.

but i don't really try in the morning, when i have, i have always fallen asleep.  so xanth's advice might be worth trying first.
be awesome.

ACTUALLY, I'd try your suggestion first.  :)

The "keeping the eyes closed" thing is learn-able, but it does take a bit to program yourself to do it.  Lots of affirmations before bed.
I've managed to do it several times... all but one of those experiences were while I was coming out of a non-physical lucid awareness experience, so I had prior knowledge that I was *already* waking up.  It's easy at that point to remain clam and keep your eyes closed.

PR's suggestion, is effectively doing a "WILD"... which in my opinion *IS* exactly what Phasing is.

I do the 'close your eyes right away' often, and I get awesome visuals from it, more remote viewing than phasing.

This is pretty much all I do and it does work. There is a book available free online, big part of it's based all on this idea. http://obe4u.com/ Good luck!
