although appearances can change within the astral planes, it may not necessarily be under your full control, and not all changes are desirable.
Yes it is possible to shapeshift in the astral plane. Here is an excerpt from Astral Dynamics:

So.. i think that if someone can change his psysical appearance in astral plane. also one can bring objects of manifest them..
yeah people have said its possible to get like an astral object. like a rose and manifest it into the physical world and make it a physical world item. possible to do anything in astral plane even go into people's dreams. Not sure about going into other people's body. its probably dangerous anyways.
Somebody told me that is possible going into other people's body. If I can, i will get more info about that.

Thats what most people say when you tell them that going out of your body is possible.
A little advice to Asgard, from someone who has had quite a few projections, it's not to just jump into things. If I read correctly you have never had a projection before. You need to work on transition techniques and holding yourself in the astral plane before you worry about other things. It just ends up causing way to much frustration in the beginning which could be avoided. I have found Robert Bruce's book "Astral Dynamics" to be extremely helpful, and inspiring as well as Frank Keeple work who you can find post of in these forums. just search for posts by Frank, they are all superb. Good luck with your traveling Asgard.
