I recently learned that trying to AP while going to sleep is very difficult for beginners. After hearing that waking up 2 hours earlier than normal and then laying down works very well, i tried it. I set a mental alarm saying to wake up at 5. I surprisingly woke up at 5:03 AM. (i normally wake up at 7:15 for school.) and layed back down with my eyes shut. Within 5 minutes i was vibrating very hard. i figured i was about to go into sleep paralysis and quickly tried to remember everything i had read on it to look for signs. I started getting a bit excited and realized the feeling was fading. I stayed focused and blank and it came but some, but then eventually went away. Was i close to astral projection at all? any tips? thanks guys! Im very excited that i actually have somewhat progressed, even if what i experienced is a regular thing for most of you.
I'm new to all this but from what I've read and understand, you may have actually achieved an AP; however, you might have just forgot about it (like one forgets a dream).
Someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but it is my understanding at this point.
It's far more successful in the early hours for someone learning. You'd do better not looking for physical effects at all. Just have in mind what you want to do. Ideally a location close by that's a short distance away, one you know is safe and think about getting there.
If you constanly think of the physical thinking 'I'm still here and nothing is really happening', that's as far as you'll get. If you had enough to go places and thought of the room you're in you'll only get that far. This in itself has its own way of slowing you from getting a free bodyless experience.
The instant you see things, even if they look and feel physical think of being above your roof or that safe place. Imagine the feel of drifting up and moving away from where you sleep. Don't be scared if it feels like being on a rollercoaster or you hear chips frying in a strong wind. This is quite normal.
It's better to wake naturally and when you do, don't move a thing or open your eyes. Just go for it. Your body is primed in this state and all it needs is you not to connect with it by feeling the bedding ect but go up and away.
Szaxx is right. Don't look for signs. That shows you are still too focused of the Physical. Instead change your mindset, you change your reality. Do this by inviting the "liberation" of your consciousness. This is a happy time, this is a time where you are about to experience total "FREEDOM" while consciously aware of it. You will no longer have the limitations of your physical body to deal with. Infinite realms are within your touch. In a way the skies the limit, but even that is too limiting, lol!
