Coincidence, or out of body related experience?

Here's an odd thing that just happened to me. Stay with me here. This morning (that's when I sleep), I had a dream about Lindsay Lohan. I won't go into the details of the dream, as that's not relevant (no, it wasn't some sexual dream). Now I'm not a fan of Lindsay Lohan or anything, so I don't know why I would dream about her. I know who she is and what she looks like, and that's about it.

Well, this evening, I noticed someone put up a poster of her on a wall in the house. I asked this person when they did this, and they did it while I was sleeping this morning. Coincidence? I'm pretty sure this isn't just a case where I heard someone shout her name while I was sleeping and my subconsious picked her for a dream, as I sleep with a loud fan on in a closed room and I'm pretty sure this person wouldn't have screamed out her name loud enough or near enough from me so that I could hear it. What does everyone think about this? Pretty neat if you ask me.

The dream could be clairvoyant or precognitive - ie the dream may have been caused by you seeing the poster on the wall later that day.

I once read the following account:

A man was working on a metal lathe one day, when he accidentally took a slighty deep cut.  The result was a shower of sparks flying towards him, which startled him.  Of course he was wearing goggles so it wasn't a problem.  That night, he dreamt he was standing in a crowd of people.  The crowd all had their backs to him, but all at once, everyone turned around and threw their lighted cigarette butts towards him.  He was showered with the glowing cigarette butts.

Now there is absolutely no doubt that the dream was caused by the incident with the lathe, earlier in the day.  But in actual fact, what if the order of events had been reversed?   What if the dream actually occurred the night before the lathe incident, rather than after? We would still see the connection!

Many times we are reminded of dreams, when certain incidents happen later in the day.  If the sequence of 'dream' and 'incident' were reversed, there would be little doubt in our minds that the dream was caused by the incident.  Such dreams should be considered precognitive.  Just because a dream precedes an incident, rather than follows it, is no reason to suppose that the dream isn't actually caused by the incident!

Never thought of it that way catmeow, intresting.

Richard, Once in awhile things of that nature happen to me, only days or weeks apart.  Usually its a dream about driving in my car to a particlar area that i've never been to. Then later on, I'll be driving, all of a sudden get an errie feeling, and things start to look almost too farmilar. Then its like two sides of a puzzel lineing up, where everything is EXACTLY the same as the dream days/weeks earlyer. The people I'm with, driving my car, where Im at, where Im going, and i Just get flash backs to that dream, which I usually never even pay attention to, because I just regard them as another dream.

Its really an awesome feeling. Once when I was younger I had the same expircence with my dad, only the dream i had was literaly about a year before it happened. I would have never been able to remember the dream on my own, it was about someone whom I didn't know at the time's house. Then in real life, when I went with my dad when we went looking for a new house, and walked in this house, it was just incredible,
