The term "brother"  or "brothers" have been used in many of the ancient and present esoteric mystery schools.  It is still in use today in esoteric schools like the freemasons,rosicrucians and others.

Perhaps they want a protagonist for something a soldier type won't be appropriate?
The miliratistic feel you described can also be a physical interpretation of disciplined and structured pursuit of a distinct goal.   Right tools for the job differ with the job at hand.

Actually, my guide Kereen was Joan of Arc in another lifetime, or at least part of her was (It's my belief that souls fragement, and that to become enlightened you must "pick up the pieces) I would have to look at original "cold and impersonal angels" thread......

Well, I know they were worshipped all over Greece, had temples built for them and so on, were often referred to as "the brothers," and were invoked during every type of ritual. [A bit of trivia: The modern expression "By Jimminy!" (gemini) comes from them.] They were guardians of the city, their faces were printed up on the coins of the realm. They had their own sect of priests and priestesses and everything. Some say they were also the brothers Regulus/Romulus founders of Rome.

When you invoke an entity that much, and have so many people focusing their energy towards it, I think that makes it manifest.

I also find it striking that the Hope Indians, on the other side of the world, called them "the brothers." To me if an entity crosses cultures that proves its "real." The Hopi had no contact with Greece.

These are the only brothers fitting the description I have found; I doubt I'm being contacted by the brothers of the local elk lodge.

I don't know how to explain the strange happenings of the past few days, except to say that I've been guided into knowledge that I've sought for many years. From France, to the ancient Americas, to Greece.

In the process I may have solved a historical mystery...

I think I know who my guides are, and why they have the personalities they have.

My guides came to me as "The Brothers", distant and militaristic. After looking high and low someone told me that Joan of Arc also called her guides "The Brothers." I see no similarities between the Maid of Orleans and myself, and have never believed myself to be her reincarnate.

Recently I got on a "Greek Kick" after playing with Anagrams- a Druidic practice of finding hidden truths by re-arranging the letters in words and names. I found many Greek phrases in my name such as "Alas ye Helenic Seer" ""Real Helenic seal, yes" "All Hail, seer can see" "Helen eye sacral isle" "See Elysian, all cheer" "Yes, she real alliance" "Caesar yell, Helenise." And so on.

Then by accident I found an American Indian sight that spoke of "The Brothers" as it turns out that was the Hopi name for the two stars Gemini! Fraternal Twins, Castor and Polydeuces, GREEK gods, SPARTAN WARRIORS. Explains the hell out of the Joan of Arc connection if you ask me. Also explains why they're so military.

Currently I am still baffled by they want with me. I'm no soldier. I'd a dancer/model/theater performer. My guess is I have a past life connection to Greece, perhaps as one of those Oricals. Which is easy to believe as I have many pictures of them hanging on my walls, and have always been drawn to them.
