Grounding

Hi -

Grounding is a well-known magickal technicque but I don't think it will help you OBE so much more than it will just help you with LIFE.  Feeling connected to this earth is such an important thing.

When I ground, I plant my butt on the floor and imagine myself growing roots.  Then, I imagine branches growing out of my head to the sky.  Then I feed on all that wonderful earth/sky energy just like trees do!!!!!!!

Be a tree for 15 minutes someday.  You might like it!  It is a way to build energy, very much like NEW.  But don't expect to project from a tree state . . . its very imagery will keep you "grounded" (ha ha, pun intended).

I can't remeber Robert saying he used grounding techniques "before" OBE's, but I might have missed it in the book. I only use grounding after returning from an OBE, or trying to break out of the trance stage quickly. To ground yourself back into the physical, without residual effects of the astral hanging on you.

hello to the people

are any of farmiliar with grounding,  wherebye you imagine tentacles coming up from the earth and plugging into you, thus forming a bond between you and mother earth.....   ive read that grounding is nessesary for projecting.
id like to know if any projectors do this or if robert does?
