I dreamed I astral projected

Just became interested in AP a few months ago, and have read some books, but never had an actual experience (at least I don't think so...).

The other night I woke up in the night having a vague recollection of a dream in which I tried to project but couldn't.  In my semi-sleep state, I decided I would try again.  Closed my eyes and the next thing is I am leaving my body.  (There were no vibrations, I don't know what these are like.)  After leaving my body I could see my body lying there (although blurry), and could see my husband sleeping (also blurry).  Looking more closely, I saw what appeared to be my husband's astral body up and moving around in a thrashing and flailing motion, like he (it) was very distressed. (It did not notice my astral body.)  I had floated around to be hovering over him at this point.  It upset me that his astral body appeared distressed, and I thought "I should get back into my physical."  I floated over it and down into it and immediately woke up in it.

One major tell-tale factor was that this all took place, not in my bedroom where we were sleeping, but in the basement of the house I grew up in.  So I'm fairly convinced I was only dreaming of projecting, but could I have actually been out of body?  I've read that we go out of body in dreams, just don't remember it.  The only difference is I was aware of it at the time and afterward.  Hmmm, I'm getting confused just talking about it.  Any suggestions as to what this was would be appreciated!

You could have just been further 'away' from the physical than you expected, ie. you weren't on the RTZ.
