It's the visulizations and power, not necessarily the words (at the level you are talking about anyway).  You need symbols that have meaning, not somethng archaic from a translated sanscrit text.

Funnily enough, MysticWeb advocate using Raom Gaom (no I am NOT recommending MysticWeb, simply stating a fact). They say that the pronunciation of these vowels stimulate the chakras in a certain way to aid memory.  Personally, although I did find this to work for me at first, I am a little wary of chants, conjurations etc as I do not know enough about them as yet so do not want to take the chance of encouraging negs etc.  I don't use it much any more, just lie in bed trying to think "I was with... I did... I went..." (MysticWeb also recommend this). Sometimes it comes to me, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes I think it hasn't then all of a sudden it comes to me 2 or 3 hours later when I'm up! I think the Raom Gaom mantra is probably helpful initially, if only to condition your mind, a bit like a knot in your hanky!

I wouldn't recommend doing in conjurations, especially the ones given from Mysitcweb..  You have no idea what you're calling upon and they, when asked, have no idea either.  Even Mr. Man himself was asked once at a seminar and couldn't say for sure..[xx(]

A simple request to be surrounded by the Divine White Light should do the trick.[]

P.S. Runlola, those are but a few conjurations that mystic web uses.  What book did you read them from??

Thanks Nay, I agree with you 100% which is why I stopped using it, and MysticWeb.  But when I signed up for their AP course (which incidentally helped me not one little bit) I didn't know any better!  Whether or not these conjurations are alright or not (I'm inclined to think not), I'd prefer not to dabble in what I know nowt about. Nuff said!  Thanks for the suggestion to surround yourself with divine light, this sounds much better and safer.

I'm unsure of what you are saying.  Do you have the meaning to these conjurations?  Please post an example using the conjuration RAOM GAOM.

What are you calling upon when you use this? and what language is it?

I'm not scared, but I get bad vibes from all the conjurations that Mysticweb suggest people use...*shiver*

Does anyone know of any conjurations for combating negs, helping you get OBE or even remember dreams in the morning? Maybe some mp3's so I would know how to pronounce them correctly? I am just curious because I have read about conjurations to ward of negs but never saw any actual sayings.
