Thoughts, the real things which hinder you.

Well l just thought this up and wanted to share it.

Some time ago I wanted to Astral Project. I felt like a "vortex" or something opening at the top of my head. I felt something touching my head and then as if I as beeing sucked out of the top of my head. Then this thought hit me:
"What if something is trying to implant a false bad memory right now into my brain?"
I immidiatly stopped what was happening by braking concentration etc.. I know that this thought is so stupid and makes no sense etc. but its there. I have thought it and now its there every damn time I try something and I get scared. So I analysed this for a while and came to the following conclusion:

Thoughts are very much like doing phsysical things. They cannot be "un-thought" and will always remain with you, no matter how stupid they are. You will always remember certain thoughts, like you remember certain physical actions.
Now this poses a problem for me. How the heck can I forget about this thought..... its like the only real deamon I have right now. Its like beeing scared of hights, you know you can't fall but your still damn scared. I know that nothing can change my memorys, but I am still damn scared.

Any advise to how I can get rid of this nonsense? I was never scared before until I thought about this memory chaning stuff which is so bloody absurd......

okay i get where your coming from, well im not too sure if i can be of help but ive had simler things like knowing somthing that cant harm or do anything to me, knowing this but still being afraid but my advise is,

When it comes and you feel that fear start little things poping in your head, however it comes along i sort of damand to myself "No i will not be scared Block these thoughts out" sort of i think positive sort of like get the feeling like nothing can hurt you, while its happening think like "No Do it be positive these help me to stop thinking of scary things happening to me when i try an obe in the dark, its hard to explain i really wish i could say more to help but this sort of technique i use helps me alot through life, Do it dont fear it nothing can hurt you let what happens happen sort of memo.

You can always try to think about it like this...  Maybe you mis-interpreted the feeling your getting... Maybe instead of it being something harmful .. what if it is something or someone trying to help you?  Your guides maybe?    If anything , you can always trick yourself into believing something positive and if this persists with you .. it may be a good idea to find ways to find the good in it instead of focusing on your fears...  Think how many people dont get any sensations like that at all when they practice.  You could just be a tad bit paranoid?  I hope this helps , good luck :)

Not really the same experience but twice when I became lucid in a dream and was about to fly out of the dream I was interrupted

The first time it was Jack Nicholson shouting profanity at me and he put me off and I fell back into the dream and the second time it was my father shouting, I think either something is trying to stop me or my fears(even if unoticed and unwarranted) are trying to hold me back

Thoughts are like clouds passing a mountain, except we chose to stop a couple instead of just letting them flow.

Some advice would be to tackle it head on, your only scared of possibilities at the moment. What if your passing up your greatest spiritual conquest by surrendering to fear? Some entities can have this sought of effect on you but the vest way to fight your demons is head on.
