Need help on AP (am i doing something wrong?)

What are you doing when you "focus that I have to
do an AP"?
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

Hi,

I have tried couple of techniques

1) is sort of a customized one you can say.. where I concerntrate
that I am being sucked into a long pipe kind of a thing which at the
end of it is a bright white light. This helps me to get into the best
of relaxation and then , to get that tingling sensation fast.

2) The famous rope technique which i found in this site.

I am sure i should be able to make it if I can keep that tingling
sensation sort of forever.. but doesn't happen. Thats why i thought
that i might be doing something wrong

Can some one of you come and pull me off? [:)]

I'm sort of in the same place you are.  I can get the tingling in my limbs and then I can hold it for about half an hour.  At that time I start drifting to sleep and pulling myself out of it, but I also get EXTREMELY bored and stop doing it then just go to sleep.  Right now that's my struggle, finding motivation to continue the process (longest i've gone is one hour).  What I am going to try however is to remember that this is a phase of the process, and after it there will be another one, and let curiousity to discover what the other one is drive me.  I guess just try a little longer and see what comes next!

Hi ,

   Need a bit of your input regarding Astral Projection.
I have been practising it quite a while and this is where I stand now.
(will try to summarize it as much as possible to save your time)

1) I can relax well, while in bed or while seated in chair

2) After a short while (now it has reduced to about 1,2 mins)
I can feel some tingling sensations. Sometimes these happen
only one side of my body(left/right or upper, bottom) But by
thinking , I can spread this sensation throughout my entire body.
Also, I can keep this sensation for a long time (max about 30 mins)
otherwise this tingling sensation starts as I inhale and stops
as I exhale and repeats as I breath.

3) After a while staying in above step 2, I focus that I have to
do an AP. when I do that, all the time , tingling sensation
enhances as my heart start to beat rapidly and some times
saliva drawn to my mouth (very annoying....)

But bottom line is, I still couldn't make a successful AP.
Any change of tactics you can suggest for me?
