Someone experienced with this method only please: how do you do it exactly? what is the first thing you do or don't do when you wake up to achieve OBE from the waking method? I am hoping someone can guide me through it properly so I can know what to expect exactly and how to make it work the best. Thankyou.

From what I've read and what I experienced last night once you wake up all you need to do is not to move  :-) sleep paralysis takes place if you are lucky  :-)

Hi,
Agreed, the instant you wake from a dream before anything in the physical appears including sounds, don't move at all. Set your intent on being somewhere and imagine this place is where you're at.
It takes less than 2 seconds to do. Any more time and you're in the physical. Keep still in this case and do a tactile sensation exit routine. Have a few at hand to try to get the floaty feeling. If anything tried appears to work increase the feeling with an appropriate visualisation. Gliding, Swimming, Rollercoaster ride...
Its supposed to be the most successful exit technique for newbies by far. Mastering this way without  forgetting your routines can get you out within a few days.
Plan the sequence well so you know what to do inside out.
Best of luck.

That's the technique I use the most, and succeed 99% of the time. What I do when I wake up in the middle of the night, is get up to drink some water, then get back into a comfortable sleeping position and immediately while my mind is still somewhat awake, start rocking my inner body and mentally initiate a buzzing sound in my head. It takes me few seconds and I start experiencing the vibes, From there is easy, just imagine yourself standing next to the door and bam, you are out.
It is important though to not wait and naturally wake up in the morning, because if your body is already refreshed, you wont be able to intentionally put it back to sleep. Or at least it will be much harder. Many people make the wrong assumption that through long relaxation and meditation will be able to achieve OBE. That happens rarely and the evidence is the numerous posts here about trying for years to OBE through meditation practiced when your body and brain do not need rest. Your brain needs to be in theta or delta sate to allow your inner "senses" or awareness(however you call it) to observe the non physical reality through suppression of the physical senses. Through meditation you can definitely experience some inner flash visions, sounds, etc, but it is hard to achieve a full OBE. And if you do, it will be short, because your brain is charged and will not remain in forced sleeping mode for long, thus it will bring you back simply by waking up.

Hi,
What you say is correct. I sleep 5 or 6 hours and once awake in the morning any attempt fails now. I get more success from within dreams or by concious exits at night. I've been doin this since the 60's so I have tried many variations. What worked then doesn't do the same now. 15 years later and I could get out anytime. I left it alone for almost 20 years, still got out spontaneously and last year found this site.
Never looked back since. So much info,  today theres nothing hard or mysterious and anyone can make a really good attempt successful with the available free books on this subject.
Success is best reached by your determined effort and early mornings are the statistically best time due to the bodies already being in the primed state.
Id guess this is why this thread exists.

I agree with the other posts. The best is to wake after 4 or 5 hours. Don't move and don't do any "analytic" thinking. Analytic thinking will definitely wake you up very quickly. You have two choices, either gently visualize a scene and feel yourself  into it, or else try to "roll out" of your body. The kind of "thinking" involved should be passive and unquestioning. As long as you remain mentally passive, the act of visualization or rolling out will deepen the sleep state, and you should find yourself OBE. Once OBE you can engage in analytic thinking again.
