Hi AP. Noob here. Well, not so much a newbie. I registered here a while ago but never really posted.

Last night I was listening to the Brain Wave thing on my headphones. That was my 3rd time trying it. The first time I tried I got GREAT vibes from it. Second time I got nothing. And last night I'm pretty sure I was getting vibes but I fell asleep. The thing is, I know I didn't take my headphones off. But when I woke up they were off my head and on my desk which is about 5 feet away. Nobody came into my room to take them off because I keep my door locked when attempting to project. Can anybody help me? What happened?

My guess is that you probably woke up in the middle of the night, put the stuff on your desk, and went back to sleep. It's not that uncommon to wake up, move to get comfortable, and fall asleep again with no memory of waking up for that short moment. You went as far as your desk, but you were probably in that muddy, grumpy half-awake state.

I remember when I started writing down my dreams, I would keep a notebook and a pen in my bed... Quite a few times, I'd look at the notebook in the morning to find that I had written down a dream during the night, with absolutely no memory of doing so.

It gives you a good idea of how poorly memory is recorded when you're asleep or in a transient state -- the brain just doesn't want to make an effort to remember. That "experience" you had is a sign that you'll probably benefit a lot from setting alarms during the night -- it'll strengthen your intent to experience and remember what happens in the sleep state.
