Hello all, this is Hyak.

I've decided to create this guide about vibrations for many reasons. I've been seeing many people asking questions about them, like what to do when encountering them, and asking what they are. Usually the first time somebody experiences them, they aren't sure what they are, or if they have anything to do with projection. If in some other case they are indeed familiar with them and their nature, they may not know what to do. I've decided to make this to help all of you people, even those experienced with them, to get a better understanding of how they work, and much more.

What are these vibrations?

Well, different people have their own opinion and explanation for this phenomena, and I also have my own.

As I understand from scientific explanation, there are also there are vibrations of certain frequencies and amplitudes. I'm not sure if the vibrations that science describes are relative to the vibrations that we feel that seem to be metaphysical, but there is still my theory that they are related. Now the way that science describes vibrations, they are simply energetic matter that exists in all objects and space. Basically everything contains energy that vibrates at its own frequency, and as I understand, that frequency can change from time to time. So you, being a physical object with your physical body, also contain vibrations. Why don't you ever feel them you ask? Well, that's because of all of the other bodily activities occurring in your body. However, as you probably know, you can in fact feel them sometimes. This usually takes place during sleep paralysis, the period when your physical body goes into slumber, and usually takes your consciousness with it. As you may know, sleep paralysis is the key to astral projection, or projection of any sort. So, this is why the vibrations occur to many during their attempts to project. This is because, once you're in sleep paralysis, you lose all sensations and realization of your physical body's physical functions. So now, you can feel all the energy in your body vibrating at a certain frequency, usually depending on how much energy you have consumed in the period of time from your last OBE to the now. To sum it up, the vibrations you feel are just your energy surging through you.

How do I recognize these "vibrations"?

Well there are many ways that you may percept them, unfortunately only some could be the actual thing. So, I'll place here some of the most common ways people explain them as.

-"Waves" coursing throughout the body violently.
-A ring of energy making its way through the body.
-Uncontrollable shaking, pulse fluctuating.
-The feeling you get while laying in your bathtub, water knocking you back and forth.
-A loud buzzing vibrating the body, dominating your ears.

There may be more, but these are all I can think of. They pretty much give you a good enough idea of what they are. For those that may confuse them with other sensations, here's what they aren't.

-A tingling, tickling sensation in entire body, or just partial areas.
-A veil of warmth throughout the body.

Okay, now that you know how to recognize them, I'll tell you the symptoms that usually occur before you actually get them. This will allow you the time to get prepared before they come on, allowing a quick and easy exit. These symptoms usually signal the vibrations are about to come on.

-A loud buzzing, or ringing noise in your ears. It may also appear as a static-like noise.
-An tingling sensation throughout the entire body.
-Heaviness of your body, sinking, or floating feeling.
-Numbness in partial areas of your body. (Do not confuse this with the "needles and pins" sensation!)
-Lightness or unawareness of your physical body.
-An electrical surge of energy sparking in your body.
-Internal movements such as spinning, or rolling.
-The Hypnogogic State will also count as a cue that the vibrations are coming.
-Heart beating faster.

Now that we have all of that covered, you probably would like to get to how to actually deal with these "vibrations". There are many ways you can confront them, all unique to each person. I will list here a number of different techniques, also the best positions to be in while attempting them, beginning with my favorite of all.

The Roll-out: This is one of the simplest exit techniques to use once in sleep paralysis. To do this, once you lose all awareness of your body, or the vibrations come on: Act as if you're physically rolling out of your bed, onto the ground. Don't just think this, actually do it.
Position: Lying on your back or stomach.

The Rope: Once in sleep paralysis feel yourself climbing up a rope that's placed above you. Don't visualize it, just feel it. Feel yourself climbing up slowly, putting force on your body.
Position: Any.

The Ladder: Similar to the rope technique, but pretend you're climbing up or down a ladder. No visualization required.
Position: Any.

The Rocket: Pretend that you're in a rocket and it's about to lift off. Count down from 10 to 1, with every number feel the vibrations growing in energy and power. On 1, feel the rocket flying up very quickly, with all of the pressure moving downwards on you.
Position: Lying on your back or stomach.

The Log: This is somewhat similar to the roll-out, but requires some visualization. Visualize that you're a log on the top of a tall mountain. Now visualize yourself rolling down it a very high speed. While visualizing it, imagine how it would feel, and actually try imitating the motions with your ethereal body.
Position: Any.

The Sit-up: Simple. Sit up quickly using your ethereal body. Similar to how a push-up would be done.
Position: Lying on your back.

The Zero Gravity: While in sleep paralysis, imagine you're in space and being pulled upwards by some strong force. Or you can imagine you're just floating about, weightless. This technique can also be done to bring on sleep paralysis, or the vibrations.
Position: Any.

The Perception Shift: While in the sleep paralysis state, try moving your perception to another area, such as the foot of your bed. Now visualize you pulling yourself toward that perception. It's almost as if you're using your own force from another area to pull your ethereal body into your grasp. This can also be used as a way to induce sleep paralysis or vibrations.
Position: Any.

Spinning: Whilst in the vibrational (or MABA) state, imagine yourself spinning about a vertical axis (so that the room appears to be spinning around).  A bit like being on a roundabout in a kids' playground.  You will probably feel the sensation of spinning before you see anything, but very soon you should actually behind to see the room moving round from your spinning position above your body.  At this point I can usually see in dim gray shades.  Fix your vision on something (say the corner of the room and stabilize/stop the spin.  Stand up. Once stabilized, you should be able to see reasonably well.  Leave the room!

Also by catmeow-
Beam Out: Simply think of beaming across the room onto the floor some short distance away from your bed.  After a short while you should become aware of being in this new position, probably kneeling on the floor, and probably you will be able to 'see'.  "I am usually facing away from the bed when I am able to 'see' and then stand up, turn around and get a good look at the bedroom.  If you can't "see" at this point, then then stand up and 'feel' the bedroom wall, vision should come along fairly quickly after this.  Leave the room!"

There may be more, but I can't remember them or I've never heard of them before. Remember, it isn't required to be in the positions I assigned each technique. I just recommend it because I think it works better that way. The only one that is required to be on the back is the sit-up, because you can't sit up in any other position (at least I don't think.)

Now, almost done here, but just a few more things about these vibrations. Some may know it's possible to raise the vibrations power willfully, but there's also some ways to get them more often. I've done a few experiments and have discovered that the following will lead to more accurate, powerful vibrations.

- Deep meditation

-Thoughts, mind content

- Experience

- Veggies

- A full stomach (not to full!)

- Resonant Tuning

- Opening your chakras

Those are just the things that I have discovered will help, you can probably fine more throughout the internet.

Now, it's time for the conclusion. Vibrations can not only be used for inducing OBE's, but they can also be used for almost limitless ancient magick. Unfortunately, every one of the texts I found the spells in specifically tell you not to tell anyone how they are done. Why am I telling you about it if I'm not going to tell you how to do it, you ask? I can't tell you how to do them, but I can refer you to the source. I haven't discovered the names of most of the texts, but I do know of one that is on the internet as an ebook. It's called "The Emerald Tablets", and can be found here http://www.crystalinks.com/emerald.html
It also has a lot of very useful information of astral and ethereal projection, and history of Earth.

I hope this helped you beginners out there, and for those that believe they're more educated on this, or that I made an error or false statement, instead of posting it here private message me.

Nice post and a really good summary for newbies. :)
There's a symptom of upcoming vibes that I would add: heart beating faster. As far as I'm conserned, it's common among beginners.

Hi Magickist

Thanks for the post. I can also add a couple more exit techniques;

1. Spinning: Whilst in the vibrational (or MABA) state, imagine yourself spinning about a vertical axis (so that the room appears to be spinning around).  A bit like being on a roundabout in a kids' playground.  You will probably feel the sensation of spinning before you see anything, but very soon you should actually behin to see the room moving round from your spinning position above your body.  At this point I can usually see in dim grey shades.  Fix your vision on something (say the corner of the room and stabilise/stop the spin.  Stand up. Once stabilised, you should be able to see reasonably well.  Leave the room!

2. Beam Out: Simply think of beaming across the room onto the floor some short distance away from your bed.  After a short while you should become aware of being in this new position, probably kneeling on the floor, and probably you will be able to "see".  I am usually facing away from the bed when i am able to "see" and then stand up, turn around and get a good look at the bedroom.  If you can't "see" at this point, then then stand up and "feel" the bedroom wall, vision should come along fairly quickly after this.  Leave the room!

In all cases I have found vision whilst in my bedroom to be grey shades but once I leave the room I have full colour!
