i read something one time that albert einstien said we only use 10% of our brain and around 15% when we sleep.
do you think that astral projection is what makes our brain work 100%  :?

just heard this classic Einstien quote:

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand."

The 10% thing is a myth.

See for example: http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/tenper.html

Synergy

I think it's more like 10% of our brain's potential... not 10% of our brain.

Read up on it. Humans use most of their brain. If you don't use it, you lose it, literally.

This applies to some of us anyway.  :-P

Someday we'll have CPU performance meters for our brains like Task Manager in windows.

As we progress our projected consciousness will have the effect of dual CPUs, and split into multicores.

What about the size of the brain? How much did Einstien's brain weigh? What kind of environment and stimulation did Einstien have at an early age when initial brain connection processes are the most critical for mental development?

The theory that the young plastic brain is actually cutting connections to create a network structure during the process of learning supports the idea of loosing brain capacity with age.

On the other hand, when following the careers of people in technical occupations, we see how new skills must constantly be learned and old skills "unlearned"  in order to stay employed.

The ability to continually learn and unlearn is an indication of the ability for people to remain in a plastic brain state and changes the game.

I have a pre-order in for one of these:
