DMT is a Very powerful psychoactive substance and it Can help a person to project. The biggest problem that most people encounter in that regards is control. Most people who do project after consuming DMT (whether in liquid form or smoked) have projections unwittingly and have no control over what takes place.
It seems that Only South American shamans who have many years experience with Ayahuasca can control their projections. Whether they achieve control just by experience or have additional methods to master the DMT-induced OBE remains mostly a mystery.

I found my thoughts wandering in all directions when i tried projecting and i couldn't even focus.

I will try again this friday with a higher dose guys and will let you know how it went.

ps. i'm still learning to have a proper OBE, so far the ones i had included someone helping me from the outside while i was dreaming.

THe only suprise you are in for is how confused and bad you are going to feel...give up on looking for any kind of experience from that stuff...take it from someone who knows from personal experience.

The easier way to achieve a projection is not always the best way.
If you practise traditional techniques you would have higher control over the world and surroundings.
I thing that stimulating projection with drugs can lead you to lower astral worlds----pleas say your opinions about that

I'll say my opinion about that.

I havent tried a high DMT doze yet but salvia and i are good friends.

Many many, probably all people report bad expirience with Sally. I on the other hand feel like fish in a pond. Just because i couldn't focus very well doesnt mean im not in control of myself. You will never see me running around on a doze of acid screaming that a boogy man is after me.

Last time i smoked myself up with salvia i felt like Neo at the end of matrix 1. I closed my eyes and could see my surrounding (in weird manner) with my 3rd eye. I was still in my head but i could see environment around me was dancing energy. JUST LIKE NEO IN MATRIX. I never felt more *at home*

I just had my final university exam and im going to my room and im gonna brew some DMT

Just to be safe, which is always a good idea when dealing with strong psychoactive substances, it is rcommended that anybody planning to take a large dose of DMT (whether ayahuasca or smoked) check with www.erowid.org first. Erowid has info on safe doses (for body weight) and 'trip' reports from other people who have taken similar amounts.

Ayahuasca isn't DMT.. You may know that..Im not sure though the wording you used made it sound like you thought it was.  In case you didn't ayahuasca refers to a mixture of an MAOI (usually harmine/harmaline and related beta-carbolines) and DMT..to make it orally active.  

Im not sure about the legal status of DMT in the UK but it illigal almost everywhere else.

Many online vendors and head shops sell "ayahuasca" but what they are really selling is just the maoi... (i wanna say the plant Peganum harmala or B cappa but i dont remember exactly) leaving you to find the dmt for yourself.

To have a true DMT experience what you'd really need is synthisized freebase DMT..which gives you a 15 minute trip which is pretty much the strongest halluinogen on the planet... blows acida way...

I think a true ayahuasca trip lasts several days..but I could be wrong... I know its very hard on the body (you get the runs...and your tripping out of your mind and such...)  

If it turns out they just sold you some type of plant with an maoi in it it might be worth holding on to... Taking a small amount of mushrooms with an maoi would be equal to taking a large amount...useful for extending longevity of your stash or making a small amount of mushrooms go a looooong way

they sold me mimosa hostilis root bark and its crap, it smells with chmical odor, i dont want to use it. I'll get it from someone else.


Smoking dmt is lame.

I'd rather take a large dose orally with MAOI.

For shrooms, maoi should be awesome, haven't tried it yet.

And no, LSD is the best and "strongest" psychedelic. You just need to take what is called a "thumb print" Your doors of perception will be blown away, tonr to bits!

Trust me...although it's only 15 minutes, no LSD trip could ever compare to smoking a fresh batch of synthesized DMT...although I believe 5-me-dmt does not give the out of body effects..or maybe its the other way around.

Unless your speaking purely of dosage..yes Lsd is pretty much the most potent drug by weight..I would agree to that...

Anyway..I think most the natural sources of dmt are pretty crappy.  I had a friend do an extraction that took nearly a month to complete, and he had some positive results (Im not sure if he used the grass or the bark)  but everyone I know who has ordered normal plant material has had very little luck.  

I dont know..  If you did eventually have a true ayahuasca trip... Well lets just say I wouldn't want to be talking to people who arent there and going to other places for hours and hours...  15 minutes is overwhelming enough as it is...  To bad the stuff is so hard to find.  

For some reason I thought one of those DMT containing grasses (maybe phalaris or something else?)  grew all over the UK.  I remember reading about sheep eating it and dieing or something, and that it was a really bad pest.  Maybe it wasn't the UK...

I don't know man, everyone i speak to say mimosa bark is very potent and only takes about 10 grams to get you blasted into the sky.

Last time i tried it i didnt have a coffee grinder to powder it so i torn it to bits myself, thats why it wasnt very strong.

Hopefuly i'll have some of it by the end of the week and drink it then, will let you know how it went

For anyone that doesn't already know; DMT is a natural internal chemical that our brain produces.

OBE's, lucid dreams (etc) and DMT production go hand in hand. i.e. During such phenomena, DMT is naturally released.

Knowing this, it is obvious why external sources have such a profound effect. (It's not foreign to the brain). I'm pretty sure that LSD works by promoting internal DMT production. Logic therefore indicates that DMT consumption would have a greater effect than would LSD.

It's certainly not something that I'm interested in experimenting with. But to each their own.

Ahh syrian rue...  Well Id definately be interested in hearing how it goes.

By the way Sahlyn.. I dunno if you know this but DMT is VERY closely related to mushrooms, and sometimes the trips can be very similar... Especially the geometry and distortions that occur... Of course DMT is a zillion times stronger than mushrooms, and adds much of its own flavor, but the similarity is there.

Im not sure but I think chemically at least LSD is much different than DMT (at least when compared with Dmt & psilocybin)

It's been a while but if I recall correctly, they attribute most of the hallucinogenic affects from seratonin and dopamine changes in the midbrain.
There is also a small area in the Pons..which is responsible for alertness, and when one takes lsd, it fires like crazy causing norepinephrine to be released all over the brain which is probably what gives the "knowledge of the universe" and "being one with everything" effects.
Also the serotonergic effects probably account for the increased tolerence for pain and overall euphoria since it acts on many of the areas of the brain that have to do with that.

Short story is..I guess it removes a natural filter for sensory input, and fires more neurons responsible for alertness.

Glad I've taken a few bio classes or that would sound like gibberish.

Hey i heard that DMT is suppose to help to induce OBE.

Anyway, i tried ayahuasca last night, in was a medium dose and alhought i could feel vibrations and everything else i couldn't project

Maybe i need to try a higher dose?
