You seem to be assuming that you need vibrations to exit your body. The fact of the matter is you don't need vibrations at all. Not everybody gets them. I've only gotten them once myself.
My advise is to forget about the vibrations. The more you focus on trying to get vibrations the less you focus on the actual getting out of your body part, which is more important. By trying to get vibrations you may actually be focusing more on your physical body than what you should be doing.
Don't worry about the vibrations. Just focus on getting to that relaxed state where your body is asleep and your mind is awake and forget about your physical body. Focus on the triangle method or the rope method.

LOL!  You sound very familiar!  *twiddles his thumbs*  [8)]
Here is your problem..

You are thinking too much.  No really.. I have gone through the same thing.

"I need to get to vibrations!"  - too much thought
"Do I feel them yet?"  - aware of physical
"Ok that didn't work, let's try this."  - again too much thought
"Aw!  ROPE technique."  - concentration spoiled by frustration
"Ok, time for MBA."  - focusing on physical again (I don't like this method)
"I'm in a trance, woopely doo."  - .. and the worst; Impatience
*roll over and fall asleep*  - too much energy work, too much concentration (for hours), no results.. mentally/spiritually exhausted.

Not to sound patronizing or anything!  But you can see quite a few problems with the above stuff.  Now maybe not all of it is applying to you, but I can almost guarentee most of it does.  I was/am the same way.

You need to find a method that works best for you.  Be patient with this discovery.. stay calm.  You need to relax your body/mind and forget about everything.  Including your physical body.  The more you think about your physical body, the longer you keep your etheric/astral body tied to it.

I recommend this,
Choose a method.  Only ONE.. try it that night.  Don't do the others.. it's important that you don't, because you think about, "That didn't work, let's try this, and this, and this".  Pace yourself.  If it didn't work out very well.. pick another one for a different night.  Each and every method you are choosing to use requires a very high amount of concentration and relaxation.  Switching between all of them doesn't give them enough time to work.. and even worse.. you are most definitely better at some over the others.

Remember, this is no race.  You have your whole life in front of you.  (Took me a while to figure that one out)  Slow it down.. just let it happen.  Don't force it.  Go to bed at night, or meditate whenever you choose, with the idea going in to it that you simply want to relax.  That's all you care about.. relaxing your body and clearing your mind.  The rest will surely happen naturally.

And like some said, not everybody experiences vibrations.  Forget about them.  You may inadvertently botch your "exit" because you think you aren't there yet.  It happens more than you realize.  Just let it happen.. if you get vibrations, cool!  If not, you need to go with the flow and learn from it.

And remember, there is no magical key to getting vibrations or inducing an OBE.  If it were that simple, everybody would be mastering this on their first or second try.  Honestly, some people are absolute masters of the triangle technique, while others hate it, try it and still can't get it to work, or simply don't prefer it.  It's really truly different for each individual out there.  There is so much more to projecting than just inducing and OBE and flying around.  Before you can even get there, you need to walk through this crazy "maze" of finding your way there.  This maze is accepting possibilities as possible truths.  Opening yourself up to these truths, and discovering not only who you are, but how you get there.  This is one big learning experience, from the start of meditation/sleep.. to travelling far strange higher dimensional planes and beyond.

Phew, I didn't want to get too "preachy" here... but i'm hoping others see what i'm saying.  I am guilty of the same thing.  I think many of us are.  Slow it down.. go with it.  Just try and relax.. pace yourself.  It will come.  Unless you plan on getting hit by a bus tomorrow.. you most likely have more time than you realize to accomplish your goals!

Good luck!

Thanks for your replies... I guess I'm just frustrated like 90% of everyone else that trys to project. However, I'm too darn stubborn to give up, I tasted projecting a few times now I'm like a crack addict knocking off 7-11's to get some more rock.

Yeah... well I'll try sticking to one thing and just chilling... Thanks for the input.

Haha!  Astral crack..

pass some over, will ya?  [;)]

TO STEEL HAWK:Your trying to hard. Try this: Have you ever had a dream where you were falling and your stomach "tickled"? Like going over a little hill on a country road in a car real fast. At night while your laying in bed visualize yourself jumping out of a plane without a shoot. See yourself falling, feel the wind,&he "Shock".
Visualize someone pushing you off the top of a building.Visualize "flying". Your O.B.E will come shortly after you fall asleep. Works for me every time!

Look I know this has been asked before, but I've been looking through a little over 60 pages of previous posts...

My problem is getting vibrations... it seems that it requires several different things.

1. Physical Relaxation
2. Mind Clear of daily thoughts i.e. "Did I lock the door?",etc
3. Trance State

So heres my typical projection attempt...

Using the NEW system I do the full body circuit for about 15 minutes (usually an hour or so before I attempt to project) to raise energy.

I then lay down on my back and work on stimulating my chakaras. Maybe 5 minutes max.

I clear my mind of surface thoughts, ignore colowebs (itching, etc) and enter a trance state.

Okey... So now I'm in the trance state woopie doodely.

I try bouncing my body back and forth, up and down, all around.. I feel moving sensations.. 3 minutes or so.. I try clearing my mind completely and focusing on the ringing from my ears and brow charka (triangle method). The ringing gets louder...

I try MBA (mobile body awareness) focusing on one body part at a time. I go back to stimulating my charkas. I do the triangle method again for about 10 minutes...

I keep getting deeper and deeper in the trance, like a full mind shift occurs I find that I get a body rush then I'm even deeper. I try the rope technique... I try feeling my body outside.... I go back to clearing my mind and focusing on the "astral ears"..

About an hour - hour and a half passes...  Nothing, I'm still in a trance. Woopely doo... I roll over to my side and fall asleep.

I have projected before, twice. But the way I did that was just stay up a day then when I go to bed finally I'm so tired I find it easy to get the vibrations... But thats not a very pratical way of projecting for me.

So questions... What am I doing wrong?

Second, when do you get vibrations? Is it when you do the rope technique or triangle technqiue? Or MBA or bouncing? Or is it just when you completly clear your mind of all technquie???

I'm so freaking confused... Any help would greatly be appericated..
