I have had a couple OBE's and I use to get vibrations, now I just kind of pop out.
but, one thing that hasn't changed, is when I go out of body, I kind of float around for a while, before i can get my "balance"
for example, I kind of float/fly around not all over the place, just like in my room, for a little while only, then I am able to get more "balance" even though I dont really walk around like I do in real life.
I am interested to see how others do when going out of body
once i floated upon exit, but i gained contol quickly. i think with some practice youll master it.
When I was young and I popped out, it took a while to get my bearings. A lot of my OB time was spent in learning how to control it, and it happened on and on. Now when I do I take off, (awareness is great) no problem. Like everything else, it's just practice.
First time I floated up to the ceiling and just hovered. I couldn't figure out how to get going so I started moving my arms like I was swimming and I began to move. I went through the walls, up through the ceiling and on to the roof where I just sat and checked everything out. It was pretty cool!
I usued to float out, get disoriented, & have problems moving, but now I just walk away from my body  .It took a long time (about 10 yrs, for me!) for me to be able to do that.Maybe some people find it easier at first, but it was very confusing for me.
Eh. I guess I do both? Float and walk. It depends on the situation, really.
