Hi all, I have read up on this topic and think that it's an interesting side effect of astral projection. Does astral projection make you smarter more intelligent or maybe it's given you a better EQ? Whats your experience? Thanks.
Maybe indirect but not necessarily. I've certainly become smarter since i started AP but it doesn't have to have anything to do with it.
But, thinking about AP = Thinking in a new way = Evolving the brain :)
No, it doesn't change who *YOU* are as a person.
It just changes your perception of where you are in the grand scheme of things.
Hence, if you're a dumbass before projecting... you will still be a dumbass after projecting. ^_~

Some people don't learn anything from it. I guess it depends on what you want out of it. If you're not open to learning and new experiences, you probably won't get much out of it.
When I say intelligence I mean intelligence in the physical not knowledge or experience or even understanding that you bring back with you. I mean your ability when you get back to the physical to have better intelligence.
You mean like somehow I will be able to speak and read french when otherwise I couldn't? I don't have that dangit! I still have a learning disability, so in my case I'd say, no. Maybe someone else has had a higher level of learning since going astral. :-)
Not me. If anything, I get dumber the older I get, no matter how much I project.
I heard of someone in the forums that learned how to play an instrument in another dimension then came back and was able to remember what he learned.
That would be cool! I've been able to play the piano in my dreams, but alas it does not follow me to the waking world. :-(
If you consider spiritual development to be a method of self-actualization (ie congruence between self and perceived self) then yes, AP does increase intelligence.
Intelligence is essentially measured as adaptability or your grasp of common sense relative to this generation. For example consider Abraham Lincoln. Seems like he was a pretty smart Guy, but if he took a modern IQ test he would most likely score in retardation levels.
AP enhances your perspective of your "environment" to one of larger scale and position, allowing you to see a slightly bigger picture than the "average" person. So, in comparison you may seem more adaptable, hence more intelligent.

Would we be considered retards if we traveled back in time? Hmm... Can't make up my mind about that. We're obviously smarter but everyone in that time would see us as different=retards.
My point is that intelligence is relative to the social generation. Just because I know more about physical science doesn't mean im any smarter than someone 200 years ago. Intelligence in my example is based on competence in common sense of the age, ie adaptability. This is what modern IQ tests measure. Your familiarity and comprehension of the current paradigm in your respective social/cultural environment.
So in that regard, AP is likely to enhance your intelligence because it can provide you with a wider scope through which you view your current paradigm. Intelligence in this regard is fluid.
However, if you measure intelligence with some random descriptor like memory capacity or logical reasoning (which you honestly could call adaptability, but for the sake of my argument we wont) then AP probably wont increase your intelligence. Though other factors involved in AP might, like practicing dream recall may enhance your memory.
If anything, I would say a good projector becomes more "aware". And being more aware can enhance many aspects of life.

No, we would probably be considered possessed or 'in league with' and burned at the stake. Or thrown in the river with rocks on our feet, depending on the location/time.
