heartbeat in the third eye

Has any of you experienced a like a heartbeat in your third eye? What does that mean?

This morning after I woke up, as my body was still relaxed I tried to go back to sleep. I started feeling pressure in my third eye, I felt how it was growing..? then I felt the beats as if there was a heart there. After a while I started feeling like it was going to the left, outside my physical head, at this moment I thought I was getting into trance, but I just got slight vibrations. Also at some point felt my whole body swinging and yet the vibes didn't get any stonger.

Yeah i  projected like that once the bigger the pressure in your head the more the and louder the ringing is and i just focused on it then eventually i just went pop and came out of my body lol

wow, it seems like I was about to have one of those, I guess I didn't wait long enough, that's because it was already noon and soon or later my mom would come to wake me up.

talking about sleeping lol......on my days off work i try the valerian and it gives me really good dreams but both times i used it it makes me sleep for about 16 hours.

i wake up after 8 hours but just fall back to sleep or get false awakenings its really weird lol

I've been doing energy work of various types for a couple years, and I it may be because I used to focus a lot on the 3rd eye, but always get really strong sensations in my third eye.  On a regular basis it feels like a tingling pressure.  When I get into trance and do energy work I can "manipulate" the 3rd eye, like pull it into my head or push it out, make it swirl around, etc.

When I first started working with crystals on my energy centers I used a Lapis Lazuli on my 3rd eye and a Selenite wand on the back of my skull and felt what I could only describe as a hand reaching into my third eye and up through my crown. 

It's particularly common to feel sensations in the third eye if you're doing psychic development work, which OBE practice is.

I'd surmise that the "beating" was because you were so relaxed that you were feeling the blood rushing through your forehead.
The pressure you felt before hand was the chakra becoming active bringing more awareness to the area, which, in turn, allowed you to notice the blood beating.

I don't have many crystals (I need to go one day for just crystal shopping ), the one I use the most, but it's very little, is a clear quartz pendant which I have with me all the time. Actually just today someone noticed it and asked me if I used it to control my students, LOL!

I also have another question/comment on this. Whenever I'm calm, like just sitting outside or reading, I start to focus on the 3rd eye area and then I get slight sensations (feels pretty good by the way) so I was wondering if this could be in some way developing/improving this chakra?

I believe that just means you're drawing energy to that particular chakra.
I can make any of my chakras feel like that, pretty much at will.
I've mostly described it as a "pressure" at the specific location.
