Trance State....

Hi everyone,
I think I have been able to achieve a trance state a few times now while trying to OBE. Unfortunately I'm struggling with progressing from that point onwards, ( which isn't the bad I must admit, as the trance state is very pleasant  :-) ).
I'm assuming I just need to carry on trying, but I was wondering If it's a case of, needing to get into a deeper trance that's stopping me separate or indeed something else?
The trance state I have experienced has been achieved by just relaxing and being passive to any thoughts. I have felt vibrations and heard some fuzzy noise at times. Do I need to focus my attention anywhere ? Or just keep doing what I'm doing and wait?

when you say be passive do you mean just think of nothing?

Yeah pretty much, just allow my thoughts to move on as easily as I can without paying to much attention to them.

If in that state you are still aware of your body, breathing and surroundings then you need to go "deeper" before anything can happen, else you can try visualization or exit techniques, if you are feeling disconnected from the body.

How to go deeper ? There are many methods, one thing you can do is focus on the blackness behind your eyelids, until you are totally oblivious of your body and surroundings. If the focus shifts every now and then (which it will) just bring it back gently. Takes some practice...
