Does this mean I'm astral projecting??

For the past few months, I have been getting this strange tingling sensation throughout my entire body. It's really hard to explain.

I tried to astral project a few months ago, and while I tried to relax my body, I fell asleep. I had a dream.. or so I think it was a dream, that I was running. I don't remember where, but I know I was running. I woke up and my legs were really sore.

Since then, almost every night, I wake up from my sleep with my entire body tingling, kind of like when part of your body falls asleep, but it doesn't hurt at all and it's extremely intense, and it feels like I'm surging forward. It's hard for me to move and I get scared and wake myself up because my friend John had told me that if I astral project, I could attract a demonic force and become posessed. But as soon as I relax again my body begins to tingle. This happens about 4 times in a row during the night, until finally I just fall back asleep.

Is this me astral projecting.. or starting to? I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. Also, is it really possible to be posessed by a demon if you leave your physical body?

Thanks
Kristin

I'm not an expert by any means but I have projected once and it was quite an extraordinary experience. The one thing I can tell you about my experience is that it felt as real as when I'm awake. Not dream like at all but more like your in a movie. The projection was preceded by an OBE where I floated out of my body and just swam around the house.

Your friend John is wrong and is basing his ideas on general ignorance and also religious dogma which doesnt encourage astral projection.
you cannot be 'possessed' by leaving your body, as you are never IN your body to begin with, but that is a technical issue which nobody needs to worry about here. The point is, you cannot get 'possesed'. Sure, people think they have been but that is due to their own psychological issues, and you should not aim to get yourself wrapped up in their delusions.

You are experiencing the vibrational state, where you become aware of your energy system. This energy exchange is going on all the time, but your mind is usually unaware of it. The point is, now that you are aware of it, you will continue to be from this point on for the rest of your life (from time to time). There is no going back. I know this as that was how it all started for me. Don't worry, its all wonderful!

The vibrational state is actually not a requirement for obe states but is a popular method.

Next time you feel the vibes, just relax and will yourself to rise out from your body. If you keep calm and relaxed then the vibes should increase to send you out.

Remember that in an obe state your emotions can take a visable form so if you become terrified of 'demons' then that is what you may see. If however you stay cool, and remember that these things are in fact projections of your own fears, you will not be bothered by such visions.

Those who say they do get afflicted by 'demons' despite this, always  turn out to have some residual fear issues which they may be in denial of, or they subscribe to some religious dogmatism like fundi-christianity which is obsessed by 'demons'. Such ideas will only hold you back from future progress.

I would advise that if your fears do get the better of you when you are out and your emotions manifest in a typical 'scary demon' type form, then first try to remain calm and focus on the fact that such visions are fueled by your emotional fear release. If you do this and believe it, the scary demon will soon dissolve. If on the other hand you are just too freaked out, then end the experience: dont worry, you can end it just by willing yourself to 'wake up'. Actually if you get any sudden fright you will shoot back asap without any further prompting!

Then take stock and aim to remain more emotionally calm the next time you are out. With each succesive projection you will lose more and more of your fears, the scary visions will steadily reduce to zero and in turn you will begin to see real progress. Remember, fear is the ultimate barrier to progress!

Good luck!

It's good thing! Learn to control it, and you'll be amazed at what you can do.  And, you cannot be possessed, it's not possible. John is wrong. Don't listen to him. Everyone on this Forum will agree with me, I'm sure.
