too passive?

Hello all,

I've been trying to astral project or obe for a few months and I've gotten to where I'm just trying to let the vibrations come on with out my assistance.  I've only had vibrations twice and once I believe I got my head out but was then stuck.  I've read all of Robert Monroe's books and have tried his technique with small success.  Would you say I'm being too passive in that lately all I've done to try to induce OBEs is by thinking about it and then trying to wake up during dreams.  I'm not frustrated but am simply waiting for my success.  I've read most of the FAQs on this forum and a lot of the posts.  Are there other suggestions?  perhaps you all wouldn't mind posting how you tend to be successful in OBEing.  perhaps reading how different people have success I can adapt it to myself.

Thanks

Tom

I've read a few places that it can help to bring on the vibrations to physically move your body in a wavelike pattern at about 0.5 Hz to 4 Hz. This would, of course, be a very subtle wave-like motion. Maybe just enough to feel it. It isn't something I've done any experimenting of my own with; projection isn't a very high priority for me right now. Still, it seems like something you might want to try working with and if you get it to work to bring on actual vibrations, please describe your experience.

Practicing every day makes knowing what to do and what not to do a more streamlined process.
