Title: Dream Journals And How to Make Them Fun (topic isn't as boring as the title)
Post by: PsychoticWolfie on April 17, 2016, 16:54:21
So I've been on the r/astralprojection reddit most of this time, this is my first post here.
Over on the reddit someone commented on a post that dream journals can help when you're trying to project because you're recalling 'events from the astral'
Whatever your beliefs on that are, it's probably no secret that vividly remembering dreams would help you to project.

But I'm terrible with dream journals. I just can't find the will to type or write when I wake up after a dream. I've always hated writing but for some reason I prefer it to typing for dream journals. But I'm also artistic. So I was thinking, maybe drawing scenes from my dreams in vivid detail along with writing them, almost like a dream comic, would help motivate me as well as making dream recall much easier for me. Throw in as much sensory description (sound, touch, smell, and any other senses) as I can and then I'm retraining my brain for extreme vividness.

This could possibly lead to lucid dreaming for me also. Although I once asked my grandpa while in a dream, "Is this a dream?" to which he replied, "Yes" and the dream still wasn't in my control. So.. Weird I guess? But I hope this dream journal thing helps someone who has similar issues with dream journals  :-P

Lots of people find it easier to use a voice recorder instead of writing it down.  With how popular smartphones and the like are it makes voice memos much easier.

Something that popped up as an idea when I read your post was mixing the two.  Do a voice recording instead of doing the writing part while drawing the picture.  Might be worth a try.

Thank you :D

As someone with ADHD, talking is easiest compared to typing or writing. You just saved me a whole journal's worth of writing xD
