Hi guys,
I don't know if any of you have read my first post, but anyway, since then i've been trying to OBE again. Unfortunately, although i keep trying, i end up dreaming of OBE-ing instead of actually experiencing OBE. Kinda like how when u keep anticipating a new movie or book, you end up dreaming about it. Well yesterday i had a  Lucid dream of OBE-ing, well still not quite there i guess.

I had the vibrations and i thought yes! OBE! Floating out of my body, the first thing i thought to do was to verify that OBEs are real so i went upstairs and saw that my dad was using the computer. I wanted to check what webpage he was surfing so that i could prove to him when i awake that OBEs are real. Unfortunately, this was when i realized it was all just a Lucid dream. The desktop shortcuts on my computer were all wrong. My mom and sis were at home when their suppose to be out. I also noticed that it wasn't an OBE as my view was rather blur kinda like how you would see things if you imagine it. My conciousness too wasn't very high. I was however able to control where to fly, although it was rather limited control and i know in lucid dreams that you are able to affect what you dream.

so guys, I checked the forums but i couldn't really find much about entering real OBE from a Lucid state. Perhaps i'm just not good at searching. But could someone advice me on how to enter OBE after the vibrations instead of dreaming or lucid dreaming about it. Or perhaps tell me what i'm doing that is wrong.

thanks alot. Any help will be appreciated deeply.

Perhaps your expectations are too high? It's unusual to "see reality" for more than a few seconds at the beginning... My guess is that you were out of body but slowly succumbed to reality fluctuations.

There's many things that cause the out of body reality to fluctuate. There's probably a good amount that we don't yet know about, but your expectations, your fears, your memories, your doubts, your intention, your mind's innate creative power, the people who live around you and the possibility that their thoughts can "pollute" yours, etc, can all influence you in such a way that your environment will stop reflecting "true reality" and become an alternate, personal reality of sorts... It takes tremendous amounts of focus, self discipline and raw experience to really become "objective" and remain in what we call the "real time zone" for extended amounts of time.

There's no real "magic formula" that exists to avoid these fluctuations... It just seems that people who are objective in nature (always question the things they see, look at everything carefully with a "new eye" and never make any assumptions) and/or who have been out of body many times will have much better success.

Don't dismiss your experiences as "mere lucid dreams" just yet -- you might find that what you experienced was in fact a full fledged out of body adventure, even if there were many inaccuracies in it.

not much more i can add to kiwibonga's post. Just that it is common to fall into a seemingly dream state upon exit. I've had it countless times. Its easily recognisible by the fact that things lose thier realism, tot in just appearance, but the feel aswell. OBE's can often feel as tings do in waking life, where there is incredible detail, control and clear thinking. As you yourself may have noticed, once you exited you knew what you wanted to do straight away and so you did it.. but after a few minutes your imagination must have took over. It is some times reffered to as the 'Alice Effect'  in regards to Alice in Wonderland. Where things are as they are in real life, but wierder and a bit more fantastic the more time goes on.
