Dreaming of OOBE?

Hi Divine,

First off, welcome to the forums.  It's good to have you here!

Now to address your post.  Basically, the way *I* separate a lucid dream from an OBE is simply the amount of control you have.

In other words, in an OBE, I have full control to do and think whatever I want.  In a lucid dream, instead of being in the drivers seat, I am in the passenger seat.  Kind of like I'm on 'auto-pilot', if you will.  It's more lucid than an ordinary dream, meaning that I am aware AT THAT MOMENT that I am not 'awake', but I don't have much control over the situation.

So you will have to analyze your experience and ask yourself, "Was I in FULL CONTROL during this time?  Or was it kind of like observing myself do things while I just went along for the ride?"

I mean, when it all boils down to it, there is not too much difference between OBE's, LD's, and plain dreams.  It's just a different level of awareness and control which separates them.

And the tricky part is, you could have a mixture of all three things in the same experience that you're trying to describe!

Anyway, I hope that helps.
Keep smiling,

Ahhh! Thanks for the help ;) I'm 100% sure it was a Lucid Dream now. I remember during the dream I 'thought' to myself "Pay attention to details around here!" but I was unable to and suddenly I was at school and I wasnt controlling myself or where I was going, but I was fully aware that I was not in reality!

Just like you said:

Thanks again!

Hey everyone, I just regged the other day but have been reading a bunch of things on the forum the past few days, and been into astral for at least one year but stopped focusing on it months ago.

I would like to share with you one of the experiences that I had this past weekend:

Ok,so i was laying down on the couch at a friend's house, then i closed my eyes. The next thing I 'realized' was that I was in an altered state, so i decided to try and 'roll out' of my body.

Well, next thing i know i fall off the bed in MY OWN HOUSE (around 70km away) and bumped my knee on the ground (didnt feel any pain tho, I often do this in my room when i wake up to turn off my alarm). I then 'realized' that it was an astral projection, and floated through the wall and saw my dad on the computer. I wanted to pay attention to minor details so that I could confirm the projection but i just couldnt seem to. Shortly after i'm at my school (teleported there?) and I have sex with this one girl (o_0), which 'ends' my astral experience.

So at this point I think that i'm awake physically (i got pulled back into my physical body) but the thing is i'm still actually dreaming. So some other stuff happens and I finally awake physically.

Ok, So what i think I have experienced is a Lucid Dream, where I dreamt of Astral Projecting and having sex with a girl, finally to 'fake awake' back in the lucid dream and again awake in reality.

Any ideas what the heck happened? I'm pretty sure it wasnt astral projection, but rather a lucid dream ;/

Thanks for the input :D

P.S - I tried the 'Life Line' technique the other night briefly, and as soon as i started trying it I got vibrations and my solar plexus was pulsating rapidly :D This technique has alot of potential!
