Title: Dry spells
Post by: manuel on February 14, 2005, 09:47:03
I would like to bring up the issue of dry spells, I dont think its been discussed enough, what my question is, what would you consider a dry spell? one week? one month? etc, I find that dry spells occur for me when I lose focus and interest for a little while on astral related things, maybe its what i need to do on a higher level sort of thing, what does one do to drag them selves out of it?

cheers.

Hi manuel

I don't think you can put a timeframe on dry spells.  Sometimes, 48 hours seems like a dry spell to me!!!  Not that I have experiences every 5 minutes!

I live, breathe, taste, smell, watch and walk non-physical reality approximately 85% of my life, and still I get dry spells.  I think I know why, with me, anyway.

When my life veers from the normal routine, I come across dry spells.  Probably because my mind is preoccupied with other stuff, and I can't focus quite as much as I'd like to.

However, I tend to take more notice of my dreams at these times, because I believe they tell me a lot about myself.

And how to drag oneself out of a dry spell?

*Sarah considers* Pffff, no idea!  Get back to your "normal" routine and give yourself permission to expand your awareness again.

:D

I have found that we some times crave experiences, especially after a really good one. It's kind of like the old saying about potato chips "Can't eat just one". The problem is that  your desire becomes your point of focus so you think your focusing on the goal, but your really focusing on your desire for the result.

If thats the case the idea is to try and readjust your focus, so that you take your reward from the journey, and just let the result come.
