If something, what i said, is not understand, just ask in the respective topic.

Yes, it was a chain. A chain is the description of more than one dream or OBE in a row. Chains consist often of more than 5 experiences.

They consist mostly of false awakenings or OBEs. But clear non lucid dreams can also be common.

I miss read thought it said just five and I only had two so I doubted my apologizes

To me a false awakening is simply an OBE that you're not aware that you're having.

The chain phenomenon is very rare. No one gave it a name. I begun in germany to call it chain (in German "Kette").

Not much people are interested in so deep details. So are such informations rare. Here is all, what i know about chains (Some gramatical errors are left, because its an older translation):

Quote(1.2.5.3.10.1) Chains: Dreams and out of body experience can occur on long "chains", where follows dream after dream or out of body experience after out of body experience. Probably are all the dreams in such chains dream-out of body experience-combinations. If one experience such a chain, one can experience in a short time a  incredibly amount of things. In chains, which consist of out of body experiences and dreams, occur almost always first very clear out of body experiences, which are followed by less clear out of body experiences, followed by out of body-dream-combinations with further decreasing clarity. One is mostly more consciously at the first parts of the chain than in the following parts. One can say that the consciousness decreases more and more, or the intensity of the experience decreases. With the consciousness also fades the lucidity. In between, one can sometimes awake for short time. In such chains are false awakenings (see "1.2.5.3.6" and sub-points) not uncommon. Often one is not sure if one is still in an out of body experience or already awake. Chains are promoted by sleep-inhibiting (active) and much focusing needing (active) methods. Furthermore, ordinary diseases (flu,... because sleep-inhibiting and / or sleep-changing), application of energy methods (Also Reiki,...) and a uncomfortable (cold or warm) temperature, which rises / falls slowly over the pleasant level (becoming too hot or too cold). The cause of such chains are continuing unstable conditions that prevent a stable return to the body until the conditions are faded. Either the bond between the astral body and physical body is temporarily reduced or the energyniveau is so high that one will be simply "thrown out". Chains will fade by themself, but they can also, if required, be interrupted by the methods of "M.3.8" (In particular: "M.3.8.2.1").

I've found out how to get what you call "chains" very easily and repeatable too.

What you do is when you're in a lucid/astral experience and you begin to feel that usual "waking up" feeling (and this sometimes takes a bit of practice) keep your eyes closed and your body perfectly still upon your return to this reality.  Then what you do is just lie there and within, usually a few seconds you'll slip back into the non-physical usually right where you were.  :)

I've used this method to continue a projection multiple times in a row.

The most experiences in a row I've had was like 5 or 6.

I call this the "Eyes Closed/Body Still" technique.

I had made a post about this kind of thing on my website: http://unlimitedboundaries.ca/2010/09/26/phasing-method-dont-open-your-eyes-when-you-wake/
