I 've been practicing for about 2 yrs. I can get this far. Sometimes I lose all body (tactile) sensations. More often thought i start to feel relaxed and my body will twitch or jerk. Sometimes almost seizure like and sudden and violently. This usually frustrates me and i turn over and go to bed. Please lend me some insight into this.

1. Place some kind of affirmation before starting, like: "Now I'm out of body" "It's nice to fly around and be OBE."
2. Ask you guides in advance to help you OBE.
3. Start with not being too awake. Once relaxed, stay simple-minded without falling asleep. Wait. Don't move. Eye's closed. When you see the 3-D darkness tunnel, follow it.
4. If you start to feel vibrations, just let the vibrations vibrate as much as possible, I'm unsure of this, but I think you should wait until you've vibrated to a finish.
5. If you dare, ask your guides to alter you, to enable you to OBE better. This will take some months of course.
6. You may also induce LD, by asking yourself several times a day: "I'm dreaming?" Then once lucid, wait til the dream fades, then try OBE.
7. Get some Hemi-Sync CDs from TMI or ebay/amazon.

Besides, I've never succeed, except perhaps for some LDs. :)
i get this aswell and i asked this question a while ago, i think it was xanth who answered it; these are called hypnogogic jerks and are involuntary. the only way to prevent these is by having a regular sleeping schedule.
I think sometimes those jerks are your astral double/soul whatever you want to call it, slamming back into your physical. Perhaps something is scaring you back and you don't have recall of that or you aren't quite loose enough and it's like a rubber band effect in that location on your body causing you to spring back when it stretches to it's limit.
Most ppl don't have a sleeping schedule but if you want to eliminate that as the issue, I guess you need to get a schedule. :-P

That sounds like you're moving into Focus 10. This means to just keep doing what you're doing. :)

First, these jerks are completely normal. Secondly, don't let them shut you down like that. :)
From the description in your first paragraph, I can tell you that you're VERY CLOSE. Just keep focusing away from your physical senses.
okay i'll tell yuns my procedure. I use one of 4 methods.
1.hemisync astral projection, relaxtion cd cd 1 of 4 cd set (best)
2. brainwave app on iphone binaural sounds (pretty good)
3. other hemisync cd's (ascension is my favorite) usually the music cd's tend to make me think a little too much
4. no cd's or anything ( now that I think about it the jerks are more prominent with this method)
As for the sleep pattern, uh i work shift work at a very large prominent plant. anything goes, 40 hour weeks, 80 hour weeks, 12 and 16 hour days, rotating shifts. Man its hard on the body. thanks everyone for the help and replies this looks like a great community!!! oh paxil does not seem to affect me doing this stuff it actually quiets my noisy mind lol.
