How did it feel like for you guys to actually leave your body for the first time

Specifically speaking, to actually peel away from your body, and to be able to move around in the astral plane.

I haven't been able to actually peel away from my body yet because I usually axe off my attempts because of the strong vibrations I get.
I definitely do understand what people mean when it feels like you're about to die when you project for the first time. A very peculiar feeling indeed. For me, it felt like if I continued, I might become paralyzed for life, because of the increase intensity of vibrations I get the more I intent to leave my body (during the vibrational phase.). Of course I know that's not true. hahaha, but my thought process during the time I have to actually project out is something like "ok. I've made it this far. I'll count this as a success. No need to actually LEAVE my body now. I've got plenty of time". And then I would end my session for the time being.

So I'm curious to hearing you guy's experience leaving your body for the first time. Did you also feel crazy vibrations, or was the transition as smooth as a baby's bottom? Did you think that it was endgame for you? Did you purposely decide to end it several times and then just said "f*ck it" one day and did it? Or maybe you trucked through from the getco?

You have a very particular belief of what you're supposed to "experience" when you're projecting.

What about experiences where no "peeling away from the body" is felt?  What about just a smooth shift of awareness from one reality to another reality?

Does that qualify also as an "obe"?

The point I'm getting at is that what most people who stumble upon here have already stumbled upon a lot of other information first... and that information has caused them to form an opinion on what an obe is, even before they've had a chance to experience one themselves.  This causes those people to form a severe limitation on "what" an obe *COULD* be and instead replaces it with a narrow definition of what someone else believes they are.

My (personal) goal here is to get people to break free from those limitations and begin ATTEMPTING to look at projection from a larger perspective... a more all-encompassing perspective.  One that even includes this physical reality experience you're currently having AS a projection too.  As an "obe".

Hey xanth. Thanks for the reply. I know exactly what you mean :D. I was actually going to add in the OP that the way I worded is just what I used for "lack of a better word". I didn't intend to imply that what I said was the only way of experiencing it.

Hi

The first time ia hard to remember since it was so long ago. Their was no holy crap I did it, their was no excitement.. it was just peacefull, I did think when I looked back at my bed and seen myself sleeping, that I did it. I did not exit through vibes, I just simply got of the bed and stood up. Looked out the bedroom window.. lasted about 4 min or so.

I had no feeling of end game.. more of a feeling of expansion of how huge life is.

I have never decided to end it and then go one day I will not end it and go for it. My goal was to leave the body, your goal should be the same, but for some reason you seem to shut it down right when the vibes are roaring, everything is saying to you go now..  its okay if you are satisfied with your progress.. not everybody gets vibes and runs out of their body. People learn at their own comfort level.

I had thoughts about what it would be like, I had fears.. how do I get back to the body once I leave it? all my fears and thoughts did not even develop or come true, no demons waiting to attack me, I am not dead, I did not really think anything.. was really relaxed and thought I should try this again..LOL

Thanks for the Reply XD
My way of going about this is a bit different, as you could probably tell. In a way, I kind of want to explore every aspect of Astral projection whether it be the vibrations or the exit itself. I'm just having fun playing around with this whole activity.  I have many new things I want to try out related to AP.
hahaha, yeah, in the VERY beginning (maybe 3 years ago) I had some major fears related to astral projections (so I ultimately settled with lucid dreaming) but now, I don't really have any fear. Or rather, it's more like I truck through them.

Also, very interesting first time. Again, thanks for the reply.
