hey- according to the book Astral Dynamics, it sounds like your biggest problem is not getting enough sleep at night so if you can, I would suggest that you try to sleep more and therefore will not have as much of an urge to at night... also if you are laying down in your bed to try to project then your body, wether you realize it or not, is trying to fall asleep because it recognizes your bed... you should try deeply relaxing in a comfortable chair with good posture so that none of your extremities ie your head feel the need to lean anywhere other than they already are as your body goes limp with deep relaxation... hope this helps

Many thanks Widfis,

You are right I work to hard and never get enough sleep and having young children never helps.

Logically sitting in a chair makes a lot of sense and I think will stop the brain from being conditioned to switch off.

Many thanks

Is preferred to wake up early and try then.

If you are very tired when you first go to bed the chances are that you will fall asleep during the practice.  If this is the case with you, you might try to drink a little water before bed time and then go to bed and sleep. Later on during the early A.M. you will wake up for a bathroom break.  When you get back into bed you will be somewhat rested and already fully relaxed so this would be a good time to try to AP. I myself never try to project at bedtime as ones mind is usually too cluttered with the days activities and trying to go thru the whole relaxation sequence is harder at that time. Good luck.

I have been having problems with exit for a while.
Main problem is that I always fall asleep.
Tried correcting this recently by keeping my arm up, when I nod off my arm falls and keeps me awake. The problem I find with this technique is that I end up being more focus on my arm.

Just recently on five or six ocassions, I have woken from my sleep with my whole body virating. First couple of times the realisation of what is happening has brought me back and left very dissapointed.

I have now had at least two occassions in which I have been laying asleep, body vibrating and my consiousness has been able to focus on a bright light, which has lifted my body at incredible speed up wards. I have even been aware enough as this happens to ask for protection. But as soon a I am aware of  rising at such speed, my consiousness brings me back at an instant and my body has been left temporarily paralysed until the vibration ends.

I would like to know how I can crate this at will rather that coming to in my sleep. The more regularly I could do this, I am sure that I would beome more relaxed with the experience and let go so that I could go further and take control of my projection.

Any help would be appriciated.
