Did the roll out method for the first time yesterday. I rolled out of my body and fell right on the floor and fell through it into outer space. I saw a planet and stars. It was pretty cool. I wasn't even trying to have an OBE but it happened anyways. I use meditation to get out of body which works best for me. What method works best for you guys?

for me most conventional methods don't work...
I tried most of them, had some success but the way I got out most of the time would leave me confused.
now I just glide outside of my body.

edit: When I'm outside and I'm not sleepy and I still want to AP, I just gaze at something and eventually I connect. It's just that I'm so relaxed theses days I can do it while being awake. It's an awesome feeling when you can do it anywhere.
The partial becomes complete; the crooked, straight; the empty,
full; the worn out, new. He whose (desires) are few gets them; he
whose (desires) are many goes astray.

Let me ask you this... what do you think is the goal for "conventional methods"?  What do they try and get you to do?

I just think conventional methods are for beginners to help them do the first separation. Because it once you hit the complete sleep paralysis stage and you start moving your astral body, you need a good momentum to be able to separate the first time because your mind tells you everything is wrong about what you doing and it want you to stay there.
Once your mind is used to the feeling. It goes much smoother and you don't need to build up the momentum via astral body rotations.
It's only a matter of tricking your mind so it doesn't pull you back in.

There is no such thing as a "beginner" method.  And with that said, there is no such thing as an "advanced" method either.  There are only methods...
People operate different from each other.  One method which works for you, won't work for someone else.

And with that said... *ALL* methods boil down to one thing (yup, there really is only a single concept... everything is a variation on that concept), and one thing only: getting you to focus your awareness away from this physical reality.  <-- which was my point to begin with.

Well, I didn't meant to be disrespectful or anything, that's just how I see it.
Because when you're done with conventional methods you usually find your own way to do it. That's what I meant.
I may be wrong tho but it's true.
If you teach an easy method to someone and it works with almost everyone "i.e.: Rope technique" to me it's a beginning method because you begin with this method XD.
It's not to say it's the easy way out and: "Oh you chicken you used the rope technique" nah it's just that most people begin with this.
It's just a definition to me, a way to classify the different methods, from the easy one to the hard ones.
Beginner level to Expert level.

Don't worry about it Kzaal, Sometimes I feel you are supposed to know everything already when you come to this Forum. That's why I like to go back down memory lane. It helps me answer questions from beginners when I share the same mindset that the beginners do.

I wish I knew everything, I'd help so many people but hey, I just try to go with the flow XD and well I'm not really good at expressing everything I have in mind but I do my best to give good exemple ;)

You are doing just fine my friend. I enjoy your posts.  :-)

Sometimes the "experienced ones" find it hard to remember what it was like to be new themselves. Myself included!  :-(

Hi Kzaal!

I find the Roll out method works really well for me to! Most of my conscious exits into the wider reality ( As a guy who used to  post here called Frank called it ) have been with the Roll out method. The difficult part for me, is to get in to the right state to use it. Once i'm there, its a done deal!

As of yet, I have to go to bed early and then wake up say....4-6 hours later. Then I'll set a strong and firm intention that after going to sleep I'll wake up and be in the right/perfect state of mind to Roll out. Then its back and forth back and forth, wiggle wiggle ( :P ) and BAM either i'm landing on a floor 'somewhere' or floating through 3d blackness or the 'Void'.

I'd like to be able to use the Roll out method without going to sleep first, guess it seems more controlled and do-able. Well its a journey that's for sure.

For me, the Rope method seems difficult. I can sense that it could work for me  beccause when I start using the method, it brings on the different sensations and sounds but man.....they sure can be intense! While the, 'Project as soon as you wake' is as smooth as smooth peanut butter! :D

Beginner or expert? Yeah each technique depends on the individual and their own definition
A fool always loses his temper, But a wise man holds it back.

Don't run too far, you will have to return the same distance!

Get relaxed and go works for me. Straight into a scene, can't get to the RTZ or anywhere physical world orientated unless its a clairvoyant dream.
Intent and desire is all thats required.
:-D
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

No no, you read my post with the wrong inflection.  :)

I wasn't chastising you or anything, just pointing out the reality that there are no beginner or advanced methods... there are only "methods".  Sorry if I sounded harsh.  :)

As everyone else has mentioned, you're doing great.  Just a small shift in perception of the above, I believe, would actually FURTHER help you.  It's a spiritual growth thing really.

Sorry to ask this, but I am really just a newbie. How do you "roll out" of your phisical body? I recognize you should be in a deep state of trance, but how can you differ your spiritual body from your phisical body, if they are "in the same place"?? I did try to move a few times when I was in the deep trance, to see if I could Project, but I ended moving my phisical body instead and it all went away :( *sob*

After you've hit the vibration stage you can start moving your astral body through your thoughts. Now, you need to feel the difference between your physical body and your astral body.
Once you can differentiate both you can start moving your astral body little by little, roll out is just basically a normal roll like you would do on the ground, so when you roll out you'd end up on the floor lol.
So when you start moving little by little you can tilt left or right and and you will eventually have a big enough momentum to tell yourself ok now the next tilt I do I can get out of my body.
Some people say it's better to do a full spin, the first times because the separation is hard to achieve, by full spin I mean like you need to have a really good momentum and it will feel a little weird, Like if your astral body was Velcro'ed to your physical body. But once you achieve it you'll know it!
Good luck!
