Ok so this has been one thing not allowing me to get closer to AP. Every time I try to relax my body and keep my mind awake, I feel like it is taking extreme amounts of energy, I am literally drained after some 30 minutes of doing this.
I tried to AP after waking in the night as this is thought to be more effective, but I couldn't keep more than 10 minutes, I was totally exhausted after that.
So what am I doing wrong?
You should get 8 hours of sleep before attempting to AP. Make sure you don't really heavy meals before hand, because that will drain your energy.
Uhmm.. maybe you could try sleeping in lighter clothing or maybe sleeping naked with a light sheet over your body.
If you're already doing this, then I'm not sure what the problem is. I haven't been able to AP from a meditative state yet...
