AP Friends,

I've been working on some material and it just came to my attention that I wanted to get some feedback on anyone who might have fainted before and experienced a OBE?

If you can give me feedback, I would appreciate it. Also, when I was younger, I gave blood, fainted the first time. Yes, I experienced a brief moment of quick darkness, scene that I was in a armbulence and then brought back to physical waking consciousness through amonia salts.

I haven't experienced fainting but i would think that being knocked unconscious or in a coma could cause an obe.

I have read information and heard from people close to me who have experienced any particularly disstressful circumstance, where it seems the panic over loads a persons brain i.e. a person in fear of losing their life, or a rape victim. Sometimes black out and jump out of their body and can view their entire surroundings from another point in a room.

Sorry if this doesn't quite make sense, its very late where i live ATM.  :|

Fuse,

I appreciate the info. and agree. In my experience I was out for under a minute because I'd given blood, didn't have much to eat prior and was nervous. I didn't have a obe but quickly slipped into a dream but very vivid and I was conscious.

I just like to have more info. from others and see what they discovered.

Hi Tvos

I fainted once.  It was when I was a kid, maybe 15 years old.  My brother and I were messing around in the kitchen and kind of fighting.  he got hold of me round the neck and started strangling me.  he was only fooling as if to say "look cut it out or I'll throttle you".  So i thought "no problem, I'll just hold my breath - you won't be able to strangle me".  The next thing i remember is waking up on the kitchen floor.  I think my brother actually pinched a nerve point or something, but apparently I just collapsed into a heap.  So all i remmeber is standing up thinking "I'll just hold my breath" and the next moment i was waking up on the floor!  No OBE though i'm afraid!

When I was a kid,  maybe 12 or so, my family went to get a Christmas tree. They were leaning on a large piece of wood. It was the first snowfall of the year. I was sliding around on the ice, having a blast. I didn't realise that they were leaning on the wood or something, and I slid between two trees. I got knocked out, but I remember standing beside my body as I watched it lay there, my family thought I was joking so they left me there.  :x
When I finally came to, I got up, looked at the wood, which had a huge nail sticking out of it, (luckily I just missed it) then yelled at them for standing there. They said, "how would you know we did nothing if you were out?". I also told them what I heard them say, and I was right.

This was before I knew what an OBE was.

Woah,

Sorry to hear about the story but also nice to see you had the OBE resulting from it. When I was younger and in the 2nd-3rd grade standing in line at school in the hallway. Somehow, I lost my balence, everything went vertigo and I fainted into a pile of coats. I remember at a split second that I was out watching myself at the same time falling into the coats.

The blood draw was different, everything was immediate and I blacked out, lost physical consciousness, but during that 1 min brief time fainted I was in a ambulence traveling at a high rate of speed passing city buildings. After that, I came through with the doc and nurse breaking the amonia smelling salts.

I myself have never, but I did once hear a very intriguing story in one of my OBE books.  When the author of the book was a child he and his friends discovered how to pass each other out.  Because no one else wanted to he volunteered.  His story is that when he passed out (from being choked) he "woke up" in reality.  He said that he recalled his earth life as little more than a dream, and after what seemed hundreds of years he had entirely forgotten about earth all together.  He went through a completely different life, grew up, had friends and tasks that were very important to him.  Then, he woke up in his earthly body.  His friends said he was out for mere seconds, but at first he didn't know who they were or where he was.  He said that slowly throughout the day his memories of his earth life returned, and told no one of his experience until he wrote his book.

Yes, Purple, that was from Robert Bruce's free e-book. I found that part a little strange but very interesting if the truth. Remember that everything people say about their experiences in life (astral or not) get exaggerated, even if only slightly.

I thought that was a different author then robert bruce. I have read a NDE just recently which basically the same occurred.

It's from Robert Peterson's book:

QuoteOne day we were talking about wrestling, and got on the subject of the world-famous wrestling hold called "the sleeper hold." The hold would knock an opponent out by cutting off blood circulation to the brain. Anyway, we all wondered what it would be like to be knocked out. FD was the strongest of the three and the third boy was afraid, so I agreed to let FD knock me out with a bear-hug.

We went outside and he gave me the strongest bear-hug I've ever experienced. I couldn't breathe and soon became unconscious. It was like waking from a dream; this world was a dream and I awoke to a reality more real and vivid than this world is. I saw the illusion of this existence on Earth dispelled! It faded away and I didn't regret it. Soon I found myself in the "real" world in a huge city that I already knew.

My memory seemed to return--Yes--I had gone to sleep and dreamed of a little place called "Earth" and now I was awake. "That was a silly dream" I thought, and I soon forgot all about "Earth." I continued my life, just like before I fell asleep. I lived in that fantastic city for years and years--centuries it seemed. I lived there so long that I COMPLETELY forgot all about Earth. For hundreds of years I had forgotten Earth. If someone was to ask me about it, I couldn't remember, since it happened so long ago.

Then one day I was walking to a store. Suddenly a confusing loss of direction hit me and I felt myself falling. Suddenly I opened my eyes only to see strange leaves, the sky and FD and the other boy looking at me! Where was I now? How did I get here? What happened? Then I remembered: Hundreds of years ago, I fell asleep and found myself here. This place was called "Earth" and was a part of a weird dream. I must have fallen asleep again. Slowly my Earthly memory returned. I asked the boys how long I had been unconscious. They said only a few minutes. They asked me what happened, and I told them I didn't want to talk about it.
